It's hard to make balls. OK, it's very hard to make perfect balls. The water just doesn't hold up and it moves. Most of the time I get flat tops. It's hard to put fruit in the middle because it floats all over the place. Otherwise they're huge and take up a lot of space in the fridge. A stable, hard shape though.

Life will never be the same again! These trays are my new best friends. They are really easy to use, easy to clean, and incredibly convenient. This method of food storage makes winter soups and stews the new healthy fast food. Freezing and removing the blocks from the trays to wrap in parchment paper and place in gallon sized storage bags makes lunches and dinners a breeze. Now I just need a ton of new soup and sauce recipes!

Almost a home run. Makes good sized round ice cubes. Getting the ice out of the mold can be a little tricky. The only two problems I can think of are: 1. The mold breaks and chips if dropped while frozen. 2. It needs to be cleaned thoroughly or the ice cubes will smell like silicone. All in all, it's not bad.

Thanks to ROTTAY, I can make a large batch and save some right away. I put it straight from the pot into the cubes, but then wait for it to cool before freezing and enjoying it later. Plus, one kit is enough because if I want to make more soup and freeze it, I can transfer the cubes to a Ziploc bag after freezing. Depending on the soup, 1 or 2 cups of cubes is the perfect portion to reheat and enjoy a few weeks later. One of my soups is a lentil soup with lemon and turmeric. After washing it off, the turmeric didn't stain the silicone, but it did stain the spoon I was stirring with.

Great for freezing soups and chili. My friend recommended I order some of these ROTTAYs. I make a lot of soup in the winter months. I usually freeze leftover soup in zip lock bags or soup containers. I like the ROTTAYs better because you can freeze a single or double portion and only thaw the amount you want to eat for that meal. Once the soup is frozen you can simply remove it from the bowl, put the block of soup in a zip lock bag, just wash the bowls and put more soup in to freeze. This is a great product for anyone who wants single portions of soup.

Great. These are great for using with your large mugs. I really like being able to put the lid on the water so I don't have to worry about what might be put on the tray when freezing. They fit most 40 oz mugs.

I ran cold water over the outside to make it even easier to remove, but it wasn't really necessary. I had to put extra effort into cleaning the inside because there are raised measurement markings inside and the tomato based food stains get into the little spaces. Next time I'll try spraying them with a cooking spray before filling. Perfect for meals that you can make ahead of time.

You need these in your life! Oh, this is a real game changer. As a single mom, I love that I can freeze leftovers in it and my 15 year old can heat up healthy homemade food with me when we're short on time. My favorite thing to freeze is Shepherd's Pie, so I end up making extra large batches just to make cubes. My favorite dish is yellow curry with rice. My trick is to add the curry, freeze it, and add the cold/chilled rice the next day. Both dishes reheat great. The microwave is best for the Shepherd's Pie and the microwave or stove for the curry. Soup works great in it too!! I bought the 1 cup cubes and the 2 cup cubes but we haven't had to use the 2 cup cubes yet. 1 cup cubes are the perfect size for a single serving. We use them so often I actually came in to buy another 2 pack of them!

love this thing. We all know grocery prices aren't great these days. Instead of buying chicken breasts, chicken thighs, and broth separately, why not just break down a whole chicken and save on costs? This is what I started with and man, I love freezing my homemade broth with these things. I've had them for a few months now and have used them at least 5 6 times. They are very easy to use and long lasting. I would say you want to chill the boiling hot liquid in the fridge first before you shove it in the freezer.

Useful for single people and others who cook too much. We bought these to store large quantities of cooked food. We freeze them in single/double portions. Once frozen, we take the cubes out of the trays and store them in large bags. Takes up much less space in the freezer than containers or jars.

Expensive, but a good product. I use it to freeze homemade broth. After freezing, I will vacuum seal and label the frozen broth. I also bought the 1/2 cup container. This is much better than using ice cube trays for this purpose, even silicone ones. Note that they do not fit well in side by side refrigerator/freezer combos.

A little pricey but worth it. I debated whether to buy them because let's face it, we're used to everything being cheap. But I hate wasting food and love soup season. These silicone bowls were sturdy and stood up on their own when I filled them well and stacked them. The lid isn't wobbly either.

Great if you cook in bulk We cook a lot and we cook in bulk. These are perfect for soups, stews, even pasta dishes. Great if you just want a single serving. Like ice cube trays, it takes a little force to release the suction, but they pop out pretty easily. You only need to clean when you're done with all 4 servings. I imagine you can wipe them out and quickly refill the sections if you need to store other portions of something else. I bought 2 for this exact reason. I also found that blue painter's tape is great for labeling and dating to keep track of leftovers. It also saves space when you don't have as many different sized Tupperware containers in a small freezer. Highly recommend

Good idea but could be better. I ordered this to keep my drinks cold without tons of ice. The rings are hard to get out of the silicone mold but it's good to have the different sizes. The container helps hold the shape when filled with water but the lid doesn't stay closed in the freezer. This is a great novelty item but it doesn't keep your drink colder any longer than regular ice cubes so if you want a cold drink without tons of cubes get this.

The measurements are clearly marked with 1/2 and 1 cup so it's easy to see exactly how much you have. The contents freeze well and are easy to remove by pushing up on the silicone bottom. After freezing the contents, I was able to wrap the frozen cubes in plastic wrap and store them in our freezer. I was able to store six cubes in a gallon sized freezer bag. This helps organize the contents in our freezer. I liked this item so much that I bought another one. If you're thinking about getting one, do it!

Poor choice of material for ice trays. Ice cube trays work as expected. However, the tray breaks and shatters when dropped. I dropped my tray cold out of the freezer and it broke and shattered in the corner. They should make the tray out of a shatter resistant material.

Can be used for much more than just soup, I've frozen curry, pulled pork, chicken pie filling, purees and more. The only downside is that it can be difficult to remove certain smells when hand washing curries and purees, but I've had no problems when running it through the dishwasher. Just note that you may need to soak these in vinegar to remove some smells if you don't have a dishwasher.

Stable, easy to remove frozen product. Wow, these molds have completely changed the way I freeze soup. I have bought cheaper silicone molds but they are not very stable and sometimes it is difficult to remove the frozen product. These molds make it really easy to cut out the frozen product without having to leave it on the counter for a while. I like the steel embedded in the rim which gives it more structure and stability. The silicone itself seems a bit thicker than some of the cheaper versions I have. I liked the first one so much that I went back and bought more in different sizes. I like that the lid fits over the tray and that it is solid and not too stable so I don't have to worry about putting anything on it in the freezer. I cut out the frozen squares and freeze them using my food storage device. I like that I know the volume of each block for portion control. I don't think you'll regret having at least one of these in your kitchen arsenal when it comes to freezing liquid foods.

Make your own stock or frozen soup. These are amazing and there is nothing like it. An ice cube with a 1/2 to 1 cup measurement mark will easily release from the silicone mold. We made our own chicken stock and had no problem freezing it, unlike crooked ziplock molds. We used some frozen stock cubes to make another dinner and they worked great. Next I will try freezing soup appetizers or leftover soup for quick meals. Highly recommend!

Great for freezing food. I love these! I often make pea soup and each of the four compartments in the ROTTAY holds just the right amount for a bowl of soup. Once frozen, the soup is easy to remove and I can heat it in the microwave or on the stove. I really like this better than freezing soup in glass bowls with snap lids because the portions are perfect. I always fit a little too much in the glass bowls and it goes to waste. And these are better for freezing than plastic bowls with snap lids because I don't like microwaving my food in plastic.

Weird but excellent! Tried 1 cup per cell size. Was skeptical. 1 cup has markings for 0.5 cups. Easy to read. Filled them with soup and froze 2 nights. Quick press on the bottom and the cubes fell out perfectly, washed up in a snap. Impressed. Stability comes from the lid locking tightly on all sides. Finally I can cook recipes for 4 servings, without dodgy math acrobatics, with 3 equal sized leftovers. This baby will get a lot of use around here. Great job guys, simple, sensible, works!

Perfect for soup! These things are great! They are perfect for freezing individual servings of soup or stew and I have even used them for mashed potatoes. I can store 8 blocks in a 1lb Ziploc freezer bag and it only takes 3 minutes to reheat my homemade soup in the microwave. It is super convenient. My set has never stained or taken on any funny tastes or smells so that was a relief because I had read other reviews mentioning this. When I first used the ROTTAY I was worried about how hard I would have to get the first frozen block out but these trays are very sturdy and I have not broken them yet. Honestly the price is the only downside for me but they were still 100% worth it.

You don't know you need it until you use it! I've always wanted to make soups and basics to freeze, but bags and ice cube trays were NOT appealing. These are PERFECT! I've only used them a couple of times so I can't speak to durability yet, but so far I'm loving it and feel inspired to keep going. The reinforced rim is a MUST! Without this feature they would be a messy nightmare and the extra effort to get the frozen cubes out is worth it. These are larger than regular ice cube trays so you'll need plenty of freezer space to use them. However, once the cubes are frozen they are easy to transfer to bags (I use my silicone bags or other storage options). They are easy to clean, by hand or in the top rack of the dishwasher. I can't speak to the smell level as they are in constant use! As for staining, so far all is well. Honestly, I wouldn't mind stains as long as I can keep using them! I highly recommend anyone who has freezer space to use these great trays!

Best buy. Oh my goodness I don't know how I got by without these. I saw them on a YouTube channel I watch. They weren't advertised, just used. I had to search to find out what they were called. The price scared me a little and I decided to buy a two pack and give one as a gift. The first time I used them when I was making soup to get ready for surgery, I very quickly pulled out the intended gift and just ordered another set to give as a gift. Incredibly well made and durable. Just press lightly on the bottom and the frozen just pops out. I used to use mason jars and ziploc boxes but I ran out of freezer space but with these I filled a few bags with soup cubes and they take up minimal space. Highly recommend, worth every penny and I will be gifting a set to other family members.

The trays have lasted a long time. I like that I can get the ice out easily thanks to the silicone base. I don't think the scoop can hold a lot of ice. I've used them regularly for over a month and they haven't broken.

Great solution for solo or couple cooking! I wish I had bought this years ago. I have already made several stock cubes, chili cubes and even apple/oatmeal cubes. Much better than eating leftovers 4 5 days in a row. Easy to use, stiff enough so it doesn't wobble, easy to empty and clean. And so far it hasn't stained at all despite borscht, chili, etc. Perfect!

This was a reorder. I like them. I use them to store bone broth, soup, stew, and anything I want to freeze and then store in a plastic bag for later use.

SO convenient! I stock up my freezer with soups for the winter so I bought these after seeing all the positive reviews and I have to say this product is spot on! 1 cup is an average bowl of soup so I just take out as many cubes of the frozen soup as people are eating and since they are all in separate cubes they thaw quickly too.

eco friendly I make my own pizza sauce about once a month. I now divide the sauce into quarters because when stored in the fridge it sometimes goes moldy. With these freezer cubes I can portion out how much I need for each pizza and only thaw what I need when I need it. No more fluff in my pizza sauce. Why can't every kitchen product be this great? I can't say enough about the usefulness and ease of use of this product. This is the highest quality silicone I've ever had and it's airtight and so easy to clean. I used to store soup in 1 gallon Ziploc bags but this is so much better because you can take out only what you need. And it freezes so well. I can put the soup in the freezer overnight and it's ready to take out the next day!

Easy to use. I absolutely love my ROTTAY. I bought the 1 cup size and was pleased to see that there is also a marking inside the cube for a 1/2 cup size. The measurements are also in ml. I froze vegetable stock in it last night and this morning the cubes came out without much fuss. I was very impressed. I look forward to using this product a lot. I also love that it comes in such a beautiful shade of blue, my favorite color.

Multipurpose. I just love mine. The concept of storing frozen soup blocks is so convenient. However, in warmer weather I make giant ice cubes for cold drinks in my mug. Lasts longer and serves the purpose!

Perfect food storage and freezing solution at just the right size. My husband and I love lasagna and I always make a 9×13 pan that is WAY too big for us to eat all at once. I bake it and then cut it into small pieces, put it in my ROTTAY tray and freeze it. When they are frozen, I take it out, wrap it in freezer paper, label it and stack these little cubes in my freezer. When it's time for lasagna, I put the frozen cube in my air fryer or oven and heat it up. It comes out like it was freshly baked. Wonderful choice, wonderful product.

Great! I'm so glad I discovered these!!! They really make freezing soup a breeze. Transferring them into ziplock bags saves space. Plus I don't have to have bulky glass containers of soup/food taking up space in my freezer and worry about them falling out. I wish I had found these sooner! Game changer! I love these! I cook soup in bulk and freeze it. The ROTTAY made it so easy. I prefer the 2 cup size for a single serving, but the other sizes are great for other things. I dice chicken and put it in the 1 cup size, pour in a little chicken broth, and then have portions to make my next chicken soup. The small ones are also great for leftover tomato paste or pesto, garlic, cookie dough, etc. Get creative! They are awesome. They clean easily, the food pops out easily, and the shape makes it easy to freeze the food in storage bags or I use a hand vacuum sealer. Never without a finished meal.

Great for more than just soup. Good for soup, but also many other types of dishes. I like to cook a lot of soup year round. I often use frozen leftovers and it makes a lot. But that also means I have a lot of soup containers. When I use those 1 cup amounts, I ziplock or vacuum seal them. Then later everyone can decide to have their favorite soup without having more soup left over. But in the short time I've had it, I've frozen foods I had too much of for one meal. Applesauce, pureed pumpkin and sweet potato, other cooked vegetables that can be pressed into a solid block.

Arrived with a crack. Still works well. I received mine with a small crack on one of the corners, picture 4. It is very hard to put the lid on and I believe that is despite the crack. The crack might even be related to how tight the lid fits. In picture 3 you can see how tight it seals. The outer plastic shell is very hard. Still, it works great and I will not be returning it. I believe the silicone insert is high quality and flexible, the ice forms evenly and there is no problem getting it out of the mold. The multiple size design is convenient because it allows you to stack ice if your cup has different inner diameters. On the other hand, if you have multiple cups that are all large, for example, you only get one mold of the right size each time. My freezer is very clean at the moment and the ice cream tastes good. I am a little concerned that if your freezer is full of food and the unit does not seal tightly, the taste of the ice cream might be affected. That has not happened to me, just a thought. Really "cool" idea, just in time for summer.

They are good. I expected them to be soft and molded like silicone but this tray is hard like old times. For me though, it works fine. For a silicone like material, it is good. It makes good round ice and the box and tongs are good too.

Most amazing purchase of my adult life! I love this item. I love soups but I hate eating soup for a month since I'm alone. This is perfect for making individual soup servings. I can take a few blocks out and take them to work. I recently tried these for mashed potatoes! It was fantastic, I took a block out and baked it in the oven while I cooked the rest of my meal. Perfect portion. Also just used them to freeze Italian beef. They can go in the dishwasher which makes clean up easier. And if there's any odor left from what you previously froze in them, sprinkle a little baking soda in each block and put the lid on. I left it on my counter for a day and washed it thoroughly afterward. No odor. I can't stress this enough: YOU NEED THIS ITEM! I'm buying more for my friends and family.

Life changing!! I LOVE these silicone freezer trays!! I have a pretty large raspberry patch and was having trouble freezing raspberries for later use. Now I have no problems!! After rinsing the berries, I put them straight into the trays and then have 1 cup of raspberry "bricks" for later use. Have also frozen some greens and have been very pleased. So easy to remove from the trays, easy to clean and perfect size. Truly life changing, at least for me!

Saves space, works as expected. These are awesome, exactly what I was looking for. I use them to freeze homemade stock. After freezing, removing the cubes is easy and you can store them in a regular 1 gallon ziplock freezer bag. They fit perfectly horizontally and save a ton of space. I can't speak to the durability of the product as I've only had it for a month, but they still look like new after 10 freezing cycles.

little pricey. I love the versatility. Although they are a little pricey, I thought I'd give them a try. You can BAKE in them, which is a real blast for mini banana bread loaves. I've made ice cream sandwiches in them and they save a lot of space in my freezer when I use them for shepherd's pie or soups. Very easy to clean in the dishwasher.
