like that it's for chickens… lol. I mean we all love chickens.

It works great. I installed it about 30cm above the ground to keep water and dirt out. It was easy to install and the instructions were easy to understand.

The product seems well made and installation was easy.

This is a very well made chicken door. I love the solar powered aspect of it. The solar panel is larger than I expected, but it has a metal door, rather than plastic. I tested it several times with all three options of light sensor, digital timer, and remote control. It worked perfectly every time. It already had some charge, but I left it in the sun to fully charge. Installation is quick and easy. Understand that the door on this model goes straight up and does not roll up. Make sure you install it in a location that has plenty of clearance for the door. The door is lightweight aluminum and the gear holes that run up the center along the entire length are how it works. There is a little noise during operation, but you would never hear it from 10 feet away. Installation was very easy and simple. I have not installed it yet, due to waiting on a replacement for my chicken coop, which was destroyed during Hurricane Helene. I will come back and add pictures and a video as soon as it is installed.

The product works great. The aluminum frame and door are high quality. The only issue was that I over tightened the mounting screws and the wood swelled and the door would not close. I loosened the screws and the door works great. Do not over tighten the frame screws.

This automatic door is great. We set it to open at 7:00am and close at 9:15pm and it opens and closes right on time. This gives us peace of mind knowing our chickens will be safe. Super easy to install, great buy.

This chicken door works great! The only thing I would change is a longer wire to give me more versatility when placing the solar panel. Other than that, I love it.

love having this. I thought I would end up using the dusk and dawn setting where it automatically opens and closes based on sunlight. However, when it rains or is cloudy, the door closes. I ended up going with the set time option and that is fine. Occasionally, it will open on its own if I close it before the set time. I have gotten used to the glitches and it works well. I bought it thinking I wouldn't have to do much work, but it turns out I still have to go check and make sure everything is set up every night.

Turns out: the seasonal temperature change must have shrunk/expanded the wood the screws got in the way and prevented the door from opening/closing properly I took out a few screws and the door works. Thanks!

I just installed my new chicken door. It was so easy! This one was also much easier to install than the first one and cost about half as much. I am very pleased!

At first, the door wouldn't close all the way and I admit I was pretty frustrated so I contacted the company. They responded within 24 hours of the email with solutions. Apparently I over tightened the screws so it wasn't working properly. After fixing that, the door has worked perfectly. Overall, I was impressed with this product, it's very simple to install and works great. I would recommend the product!

So far this item has saved me a lot of time. The chickens can come home at any time. Great product.

took one star off because it is a bit noisy. However, it is a metal door, so maybe that's why? I appreciate that the solar panel is separate and not on the face of the door panel, as my door opening is not facing the sun. I also appreciate that it can be charged with a simple cord and not rely on the sun, should the need arise. However, I had to modify my door to make this work, as somehow, for reasons I don't understand, there doesn't seem to be anything like an automatic chicken coop door that actually fits chicken coop door openings or vice versa. I don't understand why this is, but it seems to be more common than not. Overall, though, it's a decent automatic door.

This has worked well, so I no longer have to go out at dawn or dusk to release or lock up the chickens. It was also fairly easy to install. It's an excellent idea and well worth having.

So far so good. I wish there were more recommendations on where to place the door and if I can put it over the existing coop door. I haven't installed it in the coop yet, but the installation and testing is good.

am so happy with this device! My chickens love the device. Double check to get them all inside at night though! Predators have not been a problem. The females feel safe too! have tried several chicken coop doors but this one has all the features I need. Other solar doors do not have internal rechargeable batteries and must always have their panels connected while this door has an internal battery that will run the door allowing the panel to be disconnected and used only to recharge the battery. I also appreciated the different operating modes and the ability to combine light levels and times as open/close conditions. A step further is that you can separately set the opening light level and the closing light level. The display is a little hard to see when you are standing on top of it at the wrong angle and needs to be viewed more head on. But everything you need to know is displayed on the display including the detected light level to help understand what the light sensor is seeing while you are setting the light thresholds. Overall the best door I have tried and when I build a new chicken coop or need to replace one of the other doors I have I will definitely be purchasing this one again.

The installation of the gate and setting up the opening and closing times went very smoothly. We were disappointed with the lack of mounting hardware for the solar panel. We felt it needed more securing points to keep it from blowing away in the wind.

This automatic door works great and is of great quality. The solar panel is the best part and does not require direct sunlight. My chicken coop is in the shade and the solar panel only gets ambient light but I have never had any issues.

Keeping it from breaking the bank may be a separate issue, but in the end, the only reason some food is cheap is because it is often subsidized the real cost of good food can be paid for in health or in the resources to produce as much of one's needs as possible. Having a good, modern system is a big part of my program, and having everything I can run on solar or wind is just as important as livestock. While I don't have a lot of first hand knowledge of these, it's not hard to discern decent quality if one takes the time this one stood out among many others, so we'll see time will tell.

We have used a couple of these on our land in the past. I would say this one works just as well as several others we have used. Although this one costs a little less. It is not as difficult to install as you might think, if you have never used one before and I have installed a couple. It really does work as described. The solar feature will of course vary depending on the region you live in. We are in the deep south and get plenty of sun, so we never have to worry about how it works. We really did something different with ours! We installed it inside our house for our cats! It's actually pretty amazing! am using this solar powered automatic chicken door for personal use on my small farm. I would say that the solar powered door closes consistently when the power is lost. I feel that the price is reasonable for the product I received and compared to others on the market. The solar powered chicken door was easy to assemble and install. I like the user friendly design. The door stops if the chickens do not get out to the coop in time. I would recommend it for its durable construction and easy to install design.

The only thing that doesn't work well is the light sensor. If it gets a little cloudy, the door opens and closes randomly. I would recommend having it open and close on a timer. I first had it with a light sensor, then changed it to open and close on a timer and haven't had any problems since.

It works great, just remember not to leave any moisture in it, it will freeze and not open automatically. Other than that, it works great and is easy to program and install.

bought a really expensive one before I bought this door that was supposed to have WiFi and everything. It was a waste of time and materials as I had to return it and redo everything when I received this door. This door comes already assembled from the factory, who doesn't love that? It only has manual and timed open and close option which is perfect because when they come with too many options that's when they eventually break. I set it to open at 6 and close at 9. My chickens like to stay outside until they can't see anything, another reason I can't rely on the sunlight feature. I will readjust this in the winter when it gets dark earlier. So far I am very pleased with the ease of installation and setup of this door. I will update if it stops working in the future.

Easy to set up, but when it comes to the timer settings for opening and closing it can be confusing. This is what I found out by randomly pressing buttons. Pressing the mode button will eventually get you to the TT setting, which allows you to set the time for military time the only option I saw. The bottom two screens on the display are what you are looking at for this. Hold down the gear icon and either the up or down arrow to change the time. Don't forget to change the current time setting for the top box so the times you set are accurate. This can be done by pressing the gear icon a few times until you get to that screen. As for saving these times, I just let them set themselves after about 5 seconds after making my selection and they locked in. This system looks like it was made from an old clock from the 90's, but it works so that's all that matters… it can be annoying as we are a society spoiled by technology that may or may not have been developed by aliens… Weird, right? This automatic door works exactly as it should. It's great not having to go out at dawn to open it for our chickens. And then every night it closes at the set time. We are so glad we chose this door!

Easy to use and set up. Door opens and closes smoothly. I'm curious how the door will hold up during the winter.

Super easy to install and program.

I had to grease the doors to get them to work smoothly, but so far they seem to be working fine. They open and close on their own and are definitely a nice addition to the coop.

This guy is getting the job done. This along with better wiring protection is doing a good job of protecting our chickens and their eggs from the possum that kept wanting to visit us. It has a light setting where you can adjust how much light the door will open and close with and also a timer setting. I started with the light setting but the only drawback I found is that if I wanted to manually close the door when there was still some light, the door would open again after a few minutes. So, I just moved to a timer setting as really what I need is to lock it in the clearly nighttime hours when the enemy would show up. The only thing that's not great about the design is where/how the power plug USB C plugs in. It looks a little awkward and gets in the way a bit. But it works. I'm using a direct powered USB C cable since I have power, but I tried the solar panel and that worked too. So far this has already resulted in a lot more eggs left for us instead of the possum.

This automatic chicken coop door has been a game changer for my family. No more early mornings or late nights to close the door. We have the timer set for morning and night and it opens and closes automatically. The BEST investment we have made in the chicken coop. We love it.

Easy to install, operate and set up. But the real test will be the longevity. I'm curious to see how long it will last. I hope it lasts a long time!

was really hoping we had our chicken coop already, but unfortunately it's taking longer to set up than I expected. We've had a chicken coop before so I'm familiar with chickens. Everything seems to be working great so far. My demo video is a little dark because I have the door currently set to a timer and I wanted to record the timer mode. It opens and closes exactly as it should and looks like it will be pretty sturdy after it's set up. I've left it outside for quite a while despite the weather and there have been no issues that I can see. I think it will work great. I think after I test it out with the chickens I'll probably go with the light sensor mode, assuming it works well with the chickens.

I go to bed early and had to set the alarm to wake up and put the girls away. Now I don't have to worry. They are all stored in a safe place with the new door. It was easy to install and easy to set the timer. I highly recommend this product.

We love this gate. It is easy to install and works great as scheduled. We had an issue with the solar panel charging cable and customer service went above and beyond to help us get a new solar panel and get it resolved even though it was not their fault. I definitely recommend this product!

Perfect door. Works exactly as described. Very easy to install and a huge plus for our chicken coop. They can come and go as they please and can stay safely locked in at night without us having to do anything. Highly recommend!

I love it so far!

The coop door seems solid and has a lot of options. I like that you can choose the time and light, and my wife loves the remote control.

The gate was easy to install and works great. I no longer have to remember to lock the gate at dusk or open it at dawn. You can have it open and close with its light sensor or with its clock. I chose the clock because I was worried about it closing early if a storm came through.

I bought this as a door for my chicken coop. I love the timer feature as I can set it to open and close at a certain time. The solar panel works well. I charged it with the cable at first and then I've been using the solar panel. It works well and I haven't had any issues. It's easy to use and works great!

The screen is not as bright as the picture. We haven't had a chance to test the automatic door yet. We really hope the solar panel is waterproof in any rain we get.
