Fantastic food storage. Love the double seal, my old processor always seemed to get frost/air in the bag, not this one. What I don't like is how long it takes to seal, not as fast as my last one, maybe that's why it seals so well.

Have learned to adjust the size of the bags before sealing. Great cutter with the unit and it has made a huge difference.

Excellent vacuum sealer, easier to use than expected. This is a top quality vacuum sealer that I use to seal large quantities of holiday foods that we cook to enjoy on special occasions throughout the year. It's actually easier to use than the instructions say, so you're better off watching an online video to see what they're talking about. Once you've seen the video, you'll be an expert. Essentially, you place the vacuum bag in the machine so that its opening is simply somewhere above the vacuum chamber, the empty cavity just behind the heating element. Lower the lid and fold the handle down to lock it in place, and press the Vac Seal button twice. On mine, I press it twice to get it going. I don't know if all models require that. You'll see the numerical countdown start with 9, 8, 7, 6, etc., and you'll hear the pump sucking the air out. Then it will be quiet while sealing. Just leave it alone until you see it's done. That's basically all you need to do. It's easier than it sounds. Tips: There are two plastic protrusions above the vacuum chamber. I suggest you slide the end of the bag under the protrusions so the vacuum chamber sucks all the air out of the bag. The bag cutter will simply cut bags. If you are using rolls, you can put the roll in the empty space at the back of the machine. It's just for storage. Lift the cutting bar up and slide the bag under. Pull out the length of bag you need (more is better), lower the cutting bar onto the bag and slide the little cutting button over the bag so it cuts cleanly. Now you have a bag that needs to be sealed on one end. You won't be using the roll again. Hold the bag so that one open end is in the vacuum chamber area under the two plastic protrusions. Keep the rest of the bag outside the machine, close/lock the lid, then press the manual seal button. You now have a bag with one closed end. Open the machine, take the bag out, fill it with food, leaving a few inches free so you can insert the bag into the machine, place the bag so the opening is in the vacuum chamber area, place the open end under the two plastic tabs, make sure it is wrinkle free, close and lock the lid, press the Vac Seal button twice and you will hear and see the air being sucked out. Wait for the sealing process to complete, then unlock and take it out. Check to make sure you have really sealed it and you are done. If you cut the bag too short, you may need to hold the food up in the air to get the open part of the bag all the way into the vacuum chamber. This is fine, just keep it even and hold it still throughout the process. That's why we cut the bags a little longer than necessary. Of course, if you use pre made bags, don't cut them, just fill them and put them in the machine to seal and press the Vac Seal button.

Effective but slow. Good size, has various features like customizable pressure and temperature settings for sealing bags. But it takes forever to heat up and if you process a lot of veggies from the garden it's frustrating! We had an old original sealer from 20 years ago that had a button to vacuum/seal. It eventually broke so I thought I'd upgrade to this one with different vacuum suction and sealing levels. I'm not saying this is a bad machine, it's just different, works great and you'll never burn your fingers on it because it doesn't even get warm until you close it and press seal.

Great machine, good price. Absolutely love it! I've wanted one for a long time but wasn't sure if it was worth it for occasional use. I was sick of freezer burn and frost buildup in our garden vegetables that we froze in ziplock freezer bags. I wish I had bought it years ago. Besides vegetables, I've used it to vacuum seal baked goods, meat, flour for the freezer, and rice for long term storage. It uses generic replacement rolls and bags that I bought online. I would recommend buying extra when you purchase the machine if you plan on using it frequently. The starter supply runs out quickly.

love the locking handle. The closing/locking handle is the best. No need to press down when sealing. When you're 55, that's a big deal. Also, keep in mind that this product will work on almost any food that comes in bags…that can also be resealed.

It works very well and is great for meal prep and large scale storage. I cook large batches, freeze portions, take the frozen food out of the bowl and vacuum seal the portions. I buy meat in bulk and vacuum seal portions. If I debone it, I can make stock from it and the meat is even cheaper. Cheese and other foods that are not suitable for freezing last much longer in a resealable vacuum bag. The economic benefits are real when you use it and it has more than paid for itself.

Fantastic. We get a lot of beef, pork and game every year. I was keen to find something we could vacuum seal and freeze. This little machine is a winner. We vacuum seal everything, vegetables, potatoes, peppers, all the meat. It works great, highly recommended.

Great help! I don't know why I read so much about putting food in the freezer in plastic freezer bags. When I do that, the food freezes in no time. I use that a lot now and don't worry about it. It's very convenient and doesn't take up too much space. I'm so glad I have it!!!

Best I've ever used and I've had 4 different vacuum sealers! There is a bit of a learning curve but once you get the hang of it it's quicker and more efficient. I do wish you could remove the tray for washing though and the other downside is that you can't close it all the way for storage but other than that I really like it.

Moisture Problem Sealing items with moisture content is difficult. Things like blanched broccoli need to be almost completely dry or partially frozen to seal, otherwise the moisture makes it difficult to seal the bag. I still haven't figured out how to seal liquids like soups, broths, sauces, etc.

This is a well designed food vacuum sealer that is easy to use and has clearly marked control buttons. The double seal option ensures a good seal. I haven't seen this feature on other brands but am glad to know that the seal won't fail, especially when liquids are sealed in the bag. There is a compartment under the lift up lid to store a roll of bag making film. A lift up cutter makes it easy to cut off the amount needed to make bags. The main door locks when under pressure so the bag stays in place until a vacuum is created and the bag is sealed. DO NOT lock this door when not using or storing the unit. Only lock it when making bags otherwise the seal will compress and fail. A digital countdown timer lets you know when the job is complete. There are switches on the top of the machine that allow you to select the right options before you start making and sealing bags, options like dry or liquid content or choosing a single or double seal. Two rolls of bag wrap are included, one large and one small, both work perfectly. The stainless steel covered body makes the machine a focal point on almost any kitchen counter. The power cord wraps around two posts on the back of the machine so it looks neat when stored without a power cord hanging down.

Very good… My branded unit broke because of broken plastic parts. The pump was still OK but you couldn't lock it tightly. So I looked for a replacement and found this unit. I've been using it for a while now and I must say it surprised me. There may be better units on the market but you won't be disappointed if you buy this one. So I need a good appliance to keep our food fresh. As a family we buy our chicken in bulk, seal it and freeze it for later. So I need a good appliance to keep our food fresh. I was excited to try this out and am very happy with the results. It is very easy to use. With my old appliance you slid the bag into the opening and it sealed from there. With this appliance you actually open it and see the heating strip that seals the bag. At first I was afraid of getting burned but that hasn't even come close to happening to me. After you close it and press the seal button twice, which I found odd, there is a countdown and then you lift the handle and take the bag out. I examined the bag and it was tightly sealed and all the air was out. I was very impressed. What I found negative is that even though it comes with two different sized sealing bags, the bag cutter DOES NOT WORK. I ended up getting so frustrated that I ended up cutting the bags myself with scissors. I will probably never use the bag cutter again, but since everything else worked so well, I can't see why I should take more than one star off for this. Highly recommended

My first one. I like it so far but I haven't used it much. The reviews say it's a bit slow but I don't know? It's my first one? I like the double seal feature which makes me feel more confident in the seal but I've used the single seal so far with no issues. I find it easy to use. Just set what you want to do according to the instructions and then just press the button, wait a few seconds and you're done.

Just buy it! Just buy it. I've been thinking about it, researching it, and putting it off for a year because I thought ziplock freezer bags would do the trick. These last much longer without freezer burn unless the bag isn't sealed, which is why I use the double seal setting. I use it weekly when I meal prep as described above. I like the hatch style lid lock because it gives the peace of mind that the lid is properly closed. I highly recommend it to any budget conscious meal prep person like me. Just buy more bags because they go really fast.

It does its job well. The only thing I don't like is that it didn't come with a hose to vacuum the glass and I can't find one. Really disappointed.

Great! So far I have used this product quite a bit. I have vacuum packed 34kg of chicken and a lot of garden vegetables. I have used about 5 rolls of foil. As long as you use enough packing material and place it correctly, it will vacuum pack perfectly every time. Any problems I have had have been user error that will resolve with frequent use.

A real game changer. Great for preserving food, marinating meats and sous vide cooking. Read the instructions! I love marinating meats in it and then throwing it in the freezer. Makes grilling so much easier when you have very little lead time, just throw it from the freezer to the fridge the night before and you're good to go.

This thing is basically plastic It's not flexible and definitely hard to handle Why couldn't they make the plug cord out of softer rubber that wraps around the storage pliers This is one of my biggest pet peeves with units, you spend good money on a unit and it comes with a cheap plastic plug cord which annoys me.

After researching sealers for a few months I have to say this sealer is one of the best I've used in the 15 years I've been using them. For the price this sealer does what it's supposed to do. I've read countless reviews and searched many websites to get the most for my money and this sealer has received great reviews. The vacuum setting works great and is very fast. Be prepared for the actual sealing of the bag to be quite slow. I only have 2 cons with this machine. Firstly making bags can be a slow process as it takes 10 12 seconds to seal the bottom of the bag. I used cheap bag rolls I had left over and those worked well. Be careful to get creative with the size of bags you need. You can waste a lot if you use the cutter to determine the size you think you need. The only other downside I found was that the drip tray is not removable, which can make cleaning a hassle. So overall, I would recommend this sealer, but be prepared for the seal to be slow.

THIS SEALER WORKS GREAT. This is a great machine and deserves all the positive reviews. It is easy to use and seals very well. It does not require three hands like many of the sealers sold today. You can use other manufacturers' sealer bags if you want. It has different settings for the vacuum power. You can set it to do two lines of sealing or one, depending on what you want. I like the options and the simplicity. It is less expensive than many of the other sealers that do not work as well. I highly recommend it.

Highly rated for good reason I originally bought this vacuum sealer to package smoked cheese for aging. The machine consistently ranked in the top 5 on various internet review sites. My expectations were more than met. The vacuum is strong enough to seal the contents tightly for storage. The replacement bags are a bit expensive but very sturdy. We are very happy with this purchase.

Control Issues Good size and performs well for the most part. The biggest flaw is the poor design of the touch control pad. After using this vacuum for less than 2 years, the touch control sensors are hard to get to work and every use of the machine is now frustrating and annoying.

NOT a rip off, doesn't suck out air, just seals. Last post out of ignorance. I read the instructions wrong, bag has to be under both lips, otherwise it won't suck out the air. Works great

Works fantastic. I bought this vacuum sealer based on the top rating in a Food and Wine review. I was planning a deep sea fishing trip and wanted a good vacuum sealer for my catch. This little beauty exceeded my expectations. My only suggestion would be that the company should provide more detailed instructions. But I did find some useful instructions on YouTube. The big surprise was how easy it was to use and how clean it is. But by following some basic tips, I was able to seal 10 pounds of fresh fish without a drop of gooey juice getting into the drip tray. I highly recommend this little vacuum sealer.

Good vacuum. It doesn't seal as fast as the other sealer I've had, but it gets the job done.

Perfect, hope it keeps working! We bought this with our fingers crossed after returning another sealer that worked great for about three weeks and then stopped working altogether! However, this product is the best we've had so far. We love the pull down handle! With other "automatic" versions, you had to wiggle the bag back and forth until the machine recognized it. With this machine, you just put the bag in, pull down the handle, and press the button to start it. The double seal is also a GREAT feature! Highly recommended, but watch for changes in this review if any issues ever arise!

ROTTAY vs. 12. I love it. I love that it has a handle. Highly recommended.

Definitely versatile. One of the best features of this thing is that you can stop the suction mid flight and seal it at any point. I'll give you an example. I was getting ready for a backpacking trip and packed some dehydrated meals. There was spiky rice in some of the bags. So instead of removing all the air and letting the rice puncture the bag, I stopped about 3 or 4 seconds early and sealed the bag. The food still stayed fresh for 4 days in the wild. As far as performance and whatnot, this thing is great. One note: if you buy replacement bags from another manufacturer, they may not fit in the small compartment inside the unit. You may have to feed the bags from the outside to the inside, which is totally fine.

Great suction. Easy to use, quick vacuuming and sealing. Vacuum sealed 1/4 ox with no problems and I had never used a vacuum sealer before. Would definitely recommend.

Suction power So far so good. If anything changes in the functionality or suction power, I will reconsider.

Almost perfect. Good pressure control. Excellent seals. Fast operation. I wish there was a removable drip tray for easier cleaning. That's the only thing missing.

Excellent choice. I have been using vacuum sealers for a long time. Several different models and have learned to "deal with" each of their problems. This one is a joy to use. "Automatic" double seal and usually done in about 15 seconds. It takes a bit of getting used to the amount "more" you have to cut with the internal cutter but it works well and keeps the food and bag safe. Trust me on this one.

Pretty good for the price. It's a little tricky to adjust the bag so that it absorbs enough and doesn't wrinkle.

Easy to use vacuum sealer. I like that this one has a handle to seal instead of having to press on each side. You can hold your bag with your other hand so it doesn't slip out. I like that it has a manual vacuum that allows you to seal a lot of things that would otherwise get flattened even on the fine vacuum setting. This is my first experience with vacuum sealing and I'm still in the learning phase, but I'm very happy with my purchase. There are vacuum sealers that are five times the price, but this one works well for me. One complaint is that it came with two rolls of crumpled bags, which made it difficult to prepare the bag for sealing without causing leaks in the seal. I've purchased other bags and they were perfectly crumpled, which made it so much easier to use.

Good product. So far this thing is doing great. Compared to others it is pretty fast and quieter. My only complaint is that you are not supposed to use more than a few bags at a time and I like to seal my food for meal prep. We will see if this affects performance over time.

Recommend? Yes. This unit is louder than I thought it would be, even after listening to online demos. Despite that, I am very happy with this sealer. It is light enough to easily pull out from storage, but also powerful enough to perform well. Luckily, I bought it a month before the Covid 19 lockdown and was already able to stock my freezer with meat. I am very happy with this product and recommend it to others.

Quality For the price, this is a great machine. Don't expect commercial suction power, but it meets my needs perfectly. Getting the right size rollers is a challenge, but after a bit of practice, it's a breeze.

Great value for money. I bought a vacuum sealer a year ago and it did the job but I always had a problem with sealing. My son bought this one a few months ago and told me how much he loves it. I ordered it that same night. When I opened it I was amazed at the difference in size. You could see it was built properly. I used it a few days later and was amazed at the ease of use and how well it worked. I especially like that this one makes it much easier to pack large bags that need double sealing. My old one looks like junk in comparison. If you want a great vacuum at a very affordable price, this is the way to go.

So far so good. Seems to work quite well. Printing features VERY small. Instructions poorly written. One choice is "Dry Moist Double" on the same seal button. You have to press that button three times to get the third option. Nowhere in the instructions does it make this clear. The gentle seal is gentle on your poor soft goods. The double seal works great. The manual seal is good for making your own custom sized bags. The bag storage is OK but kind of unnecessary. The bag cutter works well and is better than using scissors which tend to curl the edge. Biggest downside: Since there is bag roll storage in the machine, the seal opening is much higher than counter height. Unless you plan on using large amounts of bag material, you will need to elevate your food in the bags about two inches higher to prevent the raw edges from wrinkling in the seal area and preventing a seal. I ended up putting a cake pan and lid on the counter and laying the packaged food on top so it lays smoothly in the sealer. Works for now, but I'll eventually find something more permanent to solve this problem. Is it worth the price? Only time and continued use will be the answer. Oh, the instructions warn against sealing the unit permanently or it will overheat, so plan to give it time to cool down if you're doing a big grocery run.

This thing is awesome! We needed a new vacuum sealer for food. We saw this one had good reviews and bought it. This vacuum sealer is so easy to use. What I like most is that it takes the whole roll of packing material and you can take out what you need and cut it off. I really enjoy the ease of use of this vacuum sealer. I highly recommend buying it and would buy it again if I needed to.

Solid product. Seems to be a well built sealer for the money but so far I have only used 1 roll of sealer bags. Time will tell. I love the double seal option as my other sealer bags started leaking after a few months in the freezer. I hope this fixes the problem. I also really like the gentle suction mode. I really like the plastic roll and the cutting feature. Just pull the bag out, seal one end, then pull out the length you want and use the cutting blade to get a straight cut. Pretty smooth, easy operation.

Absolutely in love!!! So easy to use and works perfectly! I just wish the drip tray was removable for easier cleaning but I knew when I bought it that it wasn't. This is the only reason for the one star deduction. If they upgraded the model with this one change it would easily be a 5 star!

The vacuum tray is difficult to clean and is not removable. I would have given a 5 if the tray was removable. I like the product. The only downside is that the vacuum tray is not removable.

So easy to use When my husband and I took it out of the box we said "uh oh". It looks a little intimidating with all the buttons and options. After a test run we had the thing rolling. So easy to use and figure out. The "pulse" option came in handy. If you're worried it'll crush what you're sealing just let it go when you feel it's done. I'm so happy with this machine. I researched many and settled on this one. I hope it lasts but for now it definitely gets the job done.

Bulk Buying I like to buy large quantities of meat on sale and then divide it into smaller portions. This little machine does a great job. The only problem I have is that the seal on the bags is leaky.

Excellent product but no power switch. I like the product! It is easy to use and has several features that make it much more useful. I think the manufacturer made a mistake. There is no power switch. It has to be plugged in every time you use it. This is a big disadvantage!

A must have for the kitchen! I have a vegetable garden that has produced an abundance of tomatoes, chard and zucchini. The ability to clean them and prepare them for meals later is absolutely fantastic. I just had to learn not to use the vacuum sealer when the vegetables have a lot of juice. It made a mess and didn't seal! I love this machine. It is so easy to set up, use and then store.
