It was just too difficult, the older I get and the less strength I have

That's what drives me crazy

but for the price it's way too much effort to get high quality craft ice cream

They definitely weren't 95% clearer than regular ice cubes (not a deal-breaker, but if it's advertised as such, I expect it)

Whatever caused that smell transferred to the ice cubes and made them taste terrible

it's clear, what more could you want?

I end up having to set an alarm to remember to take these out

This is my third purchase, I love getting it as a gift for my friends and family who are bourbon and scotch drinkers

Once it's done, it's very difficult to take the molds out of the container, then you have to remove the bottom ice cream in the container and it takes a while a lot of time to take it out of the packaging

I expected this to be the best

I can't wait to throw it away, but it makes great ice cream scoops

Once you have washed everything, you mainly have to fill it with water and throw the molds in from above

The first batch was clear, but I think with the helpful hints I received from the seller, my next batch will be even clearer

Perfect ice balls don't just fall out of the mold

Freezing takes 24 to 30 hours

When it arrived I was so eager to use it that I stopped some pretty important thing I was doing and started on the first batch of dice

In my video you can see through the clear ice to the old, cloudy ice below

It's a little expensive for what it is, but it works

But so far no clear ice

I love the ice cubes

run warm water over the outside, leave it out of the freezer for a while, try using a flat knife to loosen the sides, but none of it works

You can cut it off, but there is a risk of the ball chipping

It comes out clear and takes a long time to melt, but it's not quite as nice as I expected

Otherwise I would try another brand

love this product! SUPER easy to use, makes a nice full bowl of super clear ice

They were always difficult to get out and they were usually good quality

The store bought ice just doesn't look good and waters down my drinks

This cube shape works well for me

Cook under hot water and a butter knife for 30 seconds

It's also difficult to plan ahead – it says to wait 24 hours for each batch

Overall good product, just seems overrated

Otherwise, this product is really great and easy to use! I simply fill up with warm to hot water from the faucet and they come out great every time!

These two spears were really nice and clear (I then made myself a delicious old fashioned tequila)

The dice making machine works great! I've made a few batches and am making notes about what works best, and you should too

Using this ice maker is a whole process, but not really difficult

After some searching, I found the transparent cubes and now have them at home indefinitely. The first time I threw a die into a glass, where did it go?! Very cool to see it crystal clear. The entire system and process seemed strange at first, but what a cool thing! They mean it when they say they stand behind their product. The plastic container that holds the dice tray was leaking. Fast and uncomplicated exchange by the company! I had friends order while I sat in my living room and now had a blast being the cool host.

This product makes clear ice cubes and it is so easy

I saw the exact same thing from another manufacturer for only $49

(The instructions say to wash with warm, soapy water

However, they also have small jagged edges that come from the fill and drain holes in the molds

I had a few very small questions and left them to the seller and he responded super quickly with more tips

It's a balance

It's frozen

Once the balls are finished, they are relatively easy to remove from the molds

I bought a second one with the newer ice molds (small cubes for smaller rocks glasses and long slabs for gin and tonics)

The tub that you fill with water also looks cheap , the sides look like they are bending at the top and not like meat with the lid on

For the price of the gadget it's ok – you get what you pay for

Short version: Follow the instructions and it works exactly as promised

So you have to wait what feels like an eternity, but not so long that you forget

In any case, most people aren't likely to examine the ice in their drink particularly closely

After some effort we got two out

Despite my best efforts, I was unable to make the ice cream without them

It is extremely difficult to release the globes

I kind of thought that was the point

It works well and takes up a little less space than a hard-shell container in the freezer

It fits perfectly in our bourbon glass

Removing the ice cream balls was pretty easy if you didn't let them sit much longer than the 1 day freezing period – I made this mistake once, but after letting them sit for about 15 minutes, they came out pretty easily

But I feel like I struggled too much trying to figure it out

Follow the instructions, follow the process and be patient

It literally took me half an hour to get the molds out of the chamber (I thought, ok, first use)

The container with Styrofoam insulation and the actual molds are of high quality!* When opening the mold to release the ice balls, your fingers won't hurt like that cheaper silicones where you have to pry the ice out

In summary, I was excited to try a "luxury" brand ice ball maker, but found it to be just on par or worse with a sharper $20 silicone ice ball maker.

I love that I was able to purchase two more molds with different ice cream shapes and they fit perfectly

I hosted a 4th of July party and wowed my guests with these dice

Until then, I'll keep this one

Also, they seemed to have cracks at the end, which meant they fell apart sooner than expected

You can make one or two batches of ice cream, store the cubes in a bag in the freezer and use as needed

A seam will often form where the mold comes together, AND an ice trough will often form on the top

I first tried to run some water on the ice but it just bursts

It made good ice cubes, but not great

This is the first one to actually do that!

I was so excited when I ordered it because I have a dinner party coming up, but I was disappointed and angry when I couldn't use it as advertised

I've read reviews where others shave these areas of the ice with a paring knife? I'm not sure if you've ever tried using a knife on a piece of ice

It's a bit difficult to remove cubes (I think especially because there are so many)

I use the same freezer and so far 23, 24, 25 and 26 hours

It's STILL difficult to remove the ice, so it has nothing to do with this one being bigger

We just use regular ice cream

I got the 4 fine and had so much trouble with the third piece of rubber that I finally gave up (it was about 1/4 inch above the top of the chamber)

They take longer than usual to freeze into a working state and they are not completely clear as can be seen in the pictures

Instead of spending your business expenses on expensive QI card printing next time, consider including instructions!

Great CLEAR dice every time! It may take a few tries to figure out the exact amount of time your particular freezer needs, but once you figure it out, you'll LOVE the cubes you get

I tried different methods that people tried at home but it was too much work

As I picked it up, I noticed a thick chunk of ice melting from the bottom of the molds (which obviously explains why it was so difficult to get the molds out of the chamber)

Especially because I LOVE a good Old Fashioned!Making the ice cream balls was a flop the first time because the video was NOT exactly how to do it

but I was pretty unimpressed

I read online that this was the best value for money mold and now I have used both the 2 inch molds and the smaller and longer molds

It's so easy to put together but makes extremely good clear ice cream

The ice cream is breathtaking! Like a super chic cocktail bar, breathtaking

The tray arrived on time and following the included instructions worked as advertised

The mold is literally stuck to the container with ice

Creates beautiful, clear ice – great product – I have two of them now

Very easy to make extremely clear ice cream without taking up much space in your freezer

The problem is how difficult it is to remove the mold from the device

A neighbor had to help me and even he had a hard time lifting and removing the light bulbs

These trays are very easy to use and maintain while creating perfectly clear cubes that delight our guests every time

I knew this would be large so that's a minor gripe, but for those with limited freezer space this isn't a good option

Overall I am happy with the product

Air penetrates the silicone and affects the quality of the ice cream balls

It took a few tries to get the whole thing out of the mold I imagine it varies a bit depending on the temperature of your freezer, etc

But an hour and a half of hands-on process just isn't worth a few ice cubes, even nice ice cubes

It's difficult to get the rubber mold out of the Styrofoam piece

The Cleary Frozen unit and individual support are top notch! The device is easy to use as shown in the instructions, the dice come out crystal clear! The owners are fun to work with, very helpful and pleasant to work with

I quickly packed the device into a box and continued the return process

However, I was pretty unimpressed with the quality of the ice cream

I tried many YouTube videos to make these but failed in all attempts and then decided to buy this product and I'm glad I bought it

It's not 100% clear ice, but it's close

Then what is the point of this whole manufacturer? You could also just use regular ice!I would recommend getting better ice cream makers that will make it easier to get the silicone that contains the ice balls out

I recently completed an at-home cocktail course and felt like this would be a great addition to my drinks

It's annoying and ruins the beauty of the ice cream

Easy to remove the ice block underneath

Read the instructions, be patient, and don't be afraid to use hot water when separating the bottom chunk of ice from the ice cube tray

The final product is absolutely fantastic

I'm really impressed with the ice cube tray

This is the best thing that could have happened to our bar!

The mold can be a bit sensitive when getting in and out

Experiment with a shorter freezing time than specified to see if that helps

If you are strong, patient and have help, try it

I used to make my own clear ice cream using a chiller in the freezer and it's much easier and better

This ice is completely clear

I put the chamber and molds in to dry the sink

Seems like about 17 hours for me

Apart from nodules at the top and bottom, the shape is well formed

It took us two weeks before we decided to also order the tray for the 1

It also makes crystal clear ice cubes and is much easier to remove from the molds

So I can't really complain about the mold itself

Sure you can use it to water a plant or something, but I doubt many will do that

There must be an easier way to remove the mold!

When I took it out of the freezer, I made sure my husband was sitting there (I remembered how difficult it was for me to maneuver it)

I was looking for a clear ice solution to up my home cocktail game

Crystal clear ice when I first used it

The only trick is that you have to learn how long you should leave it in your freezer

I purchased 3 different shapes (balls, diamonds and roses)

Results: 2 beautiful spears (and I mean beautiful); and 2 spears that extended about a quarter of an inch over the edge (apparently 1/4 over the edge, at which point I gave up trying to get the molds into the machine)
