You can't just leave it there and reload

For me, it's not worth the effort for 2 ice cream balls

the results were always murky

My boyfriend is a whiskey drinker and he loves it

They designed the container to be deeper than the mold

something that would never be possible with a normal ice cube from a tray

It takes some effort to get the ice out, but other than that I'm happy

while the very few air bubbles in this machine cause them to melt slower because most of the surface is flat ice

On the clarity scale I give it three out of five

Otherwise it's great to get the clear balls

Also included is a high quality thick zipper backing for collecting/storing the ice if you plan on making more ice cream

We really wanted to love this ice maker so we could use our brass ice stamps with it when we drank scotch or bourbon

Pour it into the ice maker to the bottom of the fill line and slowly lower the trays into the water

Then you simply let the mold fall in and fill it with plenty of water

It took almost an hour for the clear ice cube to melt

This didn't work as advertised, it was hard to put water in, it was confusing how to fill it, and once it froze it was difficult to remove it from the container

I purchased the 8 scoop ice cream maker and the 2 scoop ice cream maker

If you want a cool looking cube that melts slowly, I'd say it's worth the effort

Either I get clear ice, but not a full scoop, or I get a full scoop, but the bottom has the The white fog is supposed to be eliminated by this

didn't expect it to take this long

I like the balls, they work well for my whiskey, but not really sure if they're worth the price

I use filtered water, put the water in an extra large glass, measure it and warm it in the microwave before pouring it into the mold

As promised, this ice maker produces perfectly clear ice balls that are great for iced coffee and alcoholic drinks

We couldn't find a fill line, so a little trial and error

I think this is a great tool

Making 1 or 2 ice cubes in it is a labor of love

This product is good for creating beautifully shaped cubes with better clarity

bought it as a gift for my boyfriend and he is very happy with it

So it definitely makes clear balls, but good luck getting them

I love the fact that it makes high quality clear ice balls, but trying to get the silicone out of the case container requires a challenging battle

I've used this product at least several times and funnily enough, clear ice forms outside of the silicone molds which I then cut into smaller cubes to make it work somehow

This is the real deal! The clearest ice ball maker I have ever used

However, it takes up some freezer space

Big, round ice balls look great in drinks! There's also the "slow melting" factor.I made about five test batches. It made good ice cubes, but not great. They definitely weren't 95% clearer than regular ice cubes (not a deal-breaker, but if it's advertised as such, I expect it). Also, they seemed to have cracks at the end, which meant they fell apart sooner than expected.It's difficult to get the rubber mold out of the Styrofoam piece.It's also difficult to plan ahead – it says to wait 24 hours for each batch. That's a lot of planning to have enough dice for a party.

It requires some force to take out the mold

I enjoy a little ice with a cocktail

I'm on my fourth cycle and am experimenting with different times

I was thinking about trying bottled water, but that would cost quite a bit, so I just used filtered water

Overkill for me, I got something simpler

That's partly why I chose this one: 2 balls aren't enough when we have guests

Just make sure to leave it a little longer if bot still comes out after 15 minutes

and this wasn't 100% the result, but close enough to be much better than a regular ice cube maker, although much, much less practical to make

The ice balls are crystal clear as advertised

Otherwise, he says it's one of his favorite gifts of all time

If you follow all the instructions, some of the balls will come out clean and intact

The ice cream was a bit boring, but it was worth it in the end

Due to its design, you can't refill and go again straight away

However, they don't create perfect balls because there are two small stems at the top from which the excess water comes out

I would say you need to fill to about an inch below the top

If you don't, the ice won't be as clear (and why bother using this product if you do)

It has a tight seal and prevents the balls from freezing

I keep a few pre-made copies in a plastic bag in case I use more than one

That's quite a process for an ice cube!Apart from the appearance of a clear ice cube (no air bubbles in the middle like the ice from the ice tray), this melts MUCH slower than a regular ice cube-made ice cube

But I love the size of the ice cream scoop

The only downsides are that it takes up quite a bit of valuable freezer space and it can be a challenge to remove the ice cream ball from the container

Excess ice is difficult to remove from the ground

I tried several things and couldn't get the line off the square cubes

Maybe I should have ordered the round ice ball maker

You get your formed ice cream and you just have to process some of that extra ice cream

But the ubiquitous 11-ounce jar is perfect

You will need some time and/or hot water to remove these and prepare them for the next batch

In the end it looks quite nice

I'm pretty disappointed about this and hope it gets shipped anyway

It's a bit of a shame that it freezes with two nubs and a small ring attached to it, but when you pull the balls out you can trim off any excess material pretty easily

The assembly is very simple, but it requires freezer floor space and takes up quite a bit of space

The product does what it promises

I've been trying to make large, clear ice cream using silicone molds for a while now, but nothing works

made five sets of ice cubes and none of them turned out as easy as the instructions said

Then wait a day or two before opening the mold, cutting off any excess ice, and either adding it to a drink or using the included freezer bag for storage

I loved the idea and was really looking forward to having these beautiful ice balls for my cocktails

The cubes come out very clear and store well in the freezer

Air bubbles inside standard ice cubes cause the cubes to melt faster

That's why I give the game a full 5 stars for the fun and quality

It works well, but was a little difficult to remove when it came time to remove it

Maybe the space underneath allows the contaminants to flow downward? But I'm not sure because as you can see in my picture, the chunk of ice underneath is also pretty clear, so I'm not sure what the purpose of the space underneath is

This is of course a novelty and makes a great gift

Now that's a pretty cool product! I was expecting an ice cube that was crystal clear like glass

Although the mold produces clear ice cream in a roughly spherical shape, the mold expands and the final product is not a perfect sphere (a ribbon remains where the mold expands)

It is not easy to remove the silicone mold from the plastic case without allowing a few minutes for it to thaw

It is working! The ice is actually clear

Water will drip everywhere

I also purchased the cocktail neon sign and custom bar mat on and I love all of the products

The only minor complaint I have is that it takes hours to reload

This product worked as described, but you have to heat the water to put it in the mold and let it freeze for 24-36 hours
