You can't just leave it there and reload

For me, it's not worth the effort for 2 ice cream balls

the results were always murky

My boyfriend is a whiskey drinker and he loves it

They designed the container to be deeper than the mold

something that would never be possible with a normal ice cube from a tray

It takes some effort to get the ice out, but other than that I'm happy

while the very few air bubbles in this machine cause them to melt slower because most of the surface is flat ice

On the clarity scale I give it three out of five

Otherwise it's great to get the clear balls

Also included is a high quality thick zipper backing for collecting/storing the ice if you plan on making more ice cream

We really wanted to love this ice maker so we could use our brass ice stamps with it when we drank scotch or bourbon

Pour it into the ice maker to the bottom of the fill line and slowly lower the trays into the water

Then you simply let the mold fall in and fill it with plenty of water

It took almost an hour for the clear ice cube to melt

This didn't work as advertised, it was hard to put water in, it was confusing how to fill it, and once it froze it was difficult to remove it from the container

I purchased the 8 scoop ice cream maker and the 2 scoop ice cream maker

If you want a cool looking cube that melts slowly, I'd say it's worth the effort

Either I get clear ice, but not a full scoop, or I get a full scoop, but the bottom has the The white fog is supposed to be eliminated by this

didn't expect it to take this long

I like the balls, they work well for my whiskey, but not really sure if they're worth the price

I use filtered water, put the water in an extra large glass, measure it and warm it in the microwave before pouring it into the mold

As promised, this ice maker produces perfectly clear ice balls that are great for iced coffee and alcoholic drinks

We couldn't find a fill line, so a little trial and error

I think this is a great tool

Making 1 or 2 ice cubes in it is a labor of love

This product is good for creating beautifully shaped cubes with better clarity

bought it as a gift for my boyfriend and he is very happy with it

So it definitely makes clear balls, but good luck getting them

I love the fact that it makes high quality clear ice balls, but trying to get the silicone out of the case container requires a challenging battle

I've used this product at least several times and funnily enough, clear ice forms outside of the silicone molds which I then cut into smaller cubes to make it work somehow

This is the real deal! The clearest ice ball maker I have ever used

However, it takes up some freezer space

Big, round ice balls look great in drinks! There's also the "slow melting" factor.I made about five test batches. It made good ice cubes, but not great. They definitely weren't 95% clearer than regular ice cubes (not a deal-breaker, but if it's advertised as such, I expect it). Also, they seemed to have cracks at the end, which meant they fell apart sooner than expected.It's difficult to get the rubber mold out of the Styrofoam piece.It's also difficult to plan ahead – it says to wait 24 hours for each batch. That's a lot of planning to have enough dice for a party.

It requires some force to take out the mold

I enjoy a little ice with a cocktail

I'm on my fourth cycle and am experimenting with different times

I was thinking about trying bottled water, but that would cost quite a bit, so I just used filtered water

Overkill for me, I got something simpler

That's partly why I chose this one: 2 balls aren't enough when we have guests

Just make sure to leave it a little longer if bot still comes out after 15 minutes

and this wasn't 100% the result, but close enough to be much better than a regular ice cube maker, although much, much less practical to make

Which I really appreciated

The ice balls are crystal clear as advertised

Otherwise, he says it's one of his favorite gifts of all time

If you follow all the instructions, some of the balls will come out clean and intact

That's quite a process for an ice cube!Apart from the appearance of a clear ice cube (no air bubbles in the middle like the ice from the ice tray), this melts MUCH slower than a regular ice cube-made ice cube

But I love the size of the ice cream scoop

The only downsides are that it takes up quite a bit of valuable freezer space and it can be a challenge to remove the ice cream ball from the container

Excess ice is difficult to remove from the ground

I tried several things and couldn't get the line off the square cubes

Maybe I should have ordered the round ice ball maker

You get your formed ice cream and you just have to process some of that extra ice cream

But the ubiquitous 11-ounce jar is perfect

You will need some time and/or hot water to remove these and prepare them for the next batch

In the end it looks quite nice

I'm pretty disappointed about this and hope it gets shipped anyway

It's a bit of a shame that it freezes with two nubs and a small ring attached to it, but when you pull the balls out you can trim off any excess material pretty easily

The assembly is very simple, but it requires freezer floor space and takes up quite a bit of space

The product does what it promises

I've been trying to make large, clear ice cream using silicone molds for a while now, but nothing works

made five sets of ice cubes and none of them turned out as easy as the instructions said

Then wait a day or two before opening the mold, cutting off any excess ice, and either adding it to a drink or using the included freezer bag for storage

I loved the idea and was really looking forward to having these beautiful ice balls for my cocktails

The cubes come out very clear and store well in the freezer

Air bubbles inside standard ice cubes cause the cubes to melt faster

That's why I give the game a full 5 stars for the fun and quality

It works well, but was a little difficult to remove when it came time to remove it

Maybe the space underneath allows the contaminants to flow downward? But I'm not sure because as you can see in my picture, the chunk of ice underneath is also pretty clear, so I'm not sure what the purpose of the space underneath is

This is of course a novelty and makes a great gift

Now that's a pretty cool product! I was expecting an ice cube that was crystal clear like glass

Although the mold produces clear ice cream in a roughly spherical shape, the mold expands and the final product is not a perfect sphere (a ribbon remains where the mold expands)

It is not easy to remove the silicone mold from the plastic case without allowing a few minutes for it to thaw

It is working! The ice is actually clear

Water will drip everywhere

I also purchased the cocktail neon sign and custom bar mat on and I love all of the products

The only minor complaint I have is that it takes hours to reload

This product worked as described, but you have to heat the water to put it in the mold and let it freeze for 24-36 hours

This line becomes more pronounced the longer it sits in a drink

A little pricey for two ice cubes, but very good

Maybe they thought it was an inconvenience? However, I think a better design is simply to make the container the same height as the mold

Through the cube you can clearly see all the way to the carpet

If you are making them for several guests, I would go with the product that can be used to make larger quantities

As you can see from the pictures it is pretty clear but still has some bubbles

They never became clear

I have some large glasses

It takes a while to get an overview of the amount of water required and the freezing time

The best part is the fairly large block of very clear ice that sits at the bottom

Fill it with hot water to speed up the process

But you can make some pretty good ice cream balls with this product!

For cocktails, scotch, rum or bourbon, this means the drinks are less watered down

The ice is mostly fairly clear (occasional cloudiness in the lower corners)

I did a little test to see how long it takes for an ice cube in a drink to melt in a 68 degree house

This way we can refill more quickly and continue driving

The ice balls have formed perfectly, but are never completely clear

Overall very happy with the product

I took a photo of the ice cube in a glass on my oriental rug

In the third picture you can also see the transparent ice blocks

The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because I didn't receive the bonus bag that fits up to 6 balls

The clear ice cube melted much more slowly than a cube from the tray

If you wait and don't use hot water, remove the tub from the insulation to speed up the process

the kind of person who spends 12-14 hours on a Saturday smoking brisket, or the kind of person who buys Austrian crystal wine courses because the light makes the wine look better

It takes some work to remove the silicone mold from the cooler, but work each of the four sides and you'll be fine

I've wanted a clear ice maker for a while

It works pretty well, sometimes it's hard to remove but just run some water over it and it will come off

The design looks cool but is really bulky

The ice cream scoop maker (I have the one that makes 8) works, but it doesn't work as well as described

There is a lump of ice at the bottom that you need to remove before you can use it again

I like that I can bake 8 balls, but the wasted water that's left over is annoying

When I finished my first batch after 28 hours, they were so clear I thought there was still water in them

However, this is the case

The overflow must be cut off manually

Even though it takes up quite a bit of freezer/cupboard space, I really like it

This was very frustrating and showed a lack of customer appreciation

For the money, having clear ice balls for cocktails is the best/easiest solution

This mold maker is THE ONLY one

When you make your next set, make sure there is no ice left in the cooler

Super easy to refill and make ice cream

I love using it to make drinks for friends

It is truly 100% clear

The ice balls are really clear! Works as advertised

The biggest problem I had with it was that it was on the side of the cubes, on the the shape adjoined, gave a pronounced line

I love this with a good rum because even though you drink bourbon, scotch or rum, you should actually drink it warm

This product is really great and exactly as advertised! The ice comes out clear and everything

Takes up a lot of space in my freezer so I always have to move things around

I found that it takes four hands to remove the balls, so it helps to have another person nearby

Large glasses actually require two

I broke the ice ball and there was no water

By the way, we use tap water without any problems

I tried other silicone molds

Other than that, the product works like a charm and I refuse to drink my whiskey any other way! Very satisfied and satisfied, you will not regret your purchase

It's 5 stars, but I give it 1 star for the design, which doesn't allow us to quickly refill it and use it again, whether scientifically based or not

I don't think it's that big of a deal if you time it right

The kind of person who would appreciate that is the kind of person who would drive 30 miles to get a nice bottle of bourbon

If you're buying this 100% from a looks standpoint, it might not be worth it

My only criticism is the large ring around the middle of the ice cream where the shapes come together

Ultimately, this is a Very nice clear one Ice ball maker

The spherical ice cream this shape creates is very good

It took a full 36-48 hours to prepare in my fridge/freezer

I thought I would give it another try and bought it

It helps to let the whole thing sit on the counter for a while so that the ice cream can warm up a bit

There's nothing bad to complain about with this product – it's just not worth the price

My conclusion is that this is a real specialty

The end result is still cloudy, sometimes cracked balls of ice

Ok, so at first I was super excited to get this

Very concise and easy to understand instructions included

I guess the trick is to freeze slowly because it takes 24 to 30 hours

The only complaint he has made is that if you leave the ice cream in the freezer for more than 48 hours, the plastic mold cannot be removed without having to melt some ice cream

Additionally, it is difficult to align the three sections perfectly, so ice balls usually have slight imperfections but come apart when added to the drink

This product makes very clear ice cream, but it takes 48 hours to finish

For the cheaper mold products that don't contain a Styrofoam container, you simply fill them through the tiny holes in the top of the molds

However, it takes quite a bit of elbow grease to get the mold out of the ice maker, sometimes to the point where you feel like you're about to break it

You have to enjoy the craft
