I love the ability of the tapes to measure inside diameters accurately and easily. It's always hard to get a good inside dimension accurately. I'm in the shower and need it to be just right. Thanks, I recommend this tape. The laser works well. I dropped it in water and was able to get it to work, but I had to completely take it apart two or three times before it would work again. So be careful.

Measurements made by the laser do not vary when measuring several times from the same measurement point. The product works well as long as measurements are not made under the sun, since it is difficult to locate the laser pointer at more than 10 meters.

I love this digital tape measure. It is much lighter than my previous tape measure. It is 100% accurate. The LCD screen is large and very easy to see, but the print on the tape is small. The battery lasts a long time though, so you don't need the print on the tape. So far, so good.

This was my first time using a laser tape measure. I thought the laser accuracy would be poor, but that was not the case. The laser measurement was accurate. I am satisfied with this product.

This is an excellent tool for measuring distances longer than the maximum lengths most analog tape measures reach. There are extremely long tape measures available, but this one has the advantage of being lighter and smaller and doesn't require anchoring the end or having someone hold it. I let it charge overnight before first use. The laser creates a bright, precise spot on the surface it references. It only takes a couple of seconds for the measurement to appear on the screen, and it's accurate relative to my manual measurements. You can record up to 50 measurements, which is handy if you don't have something to write with. I haven't used some of the advanced features, such as measuring triangles or perimeters, but I like the fact that those options are available if I ever need them. The user manual contains instructions in 7 languages EN, DE, FR, IT, ES, RU, PL, and I found the English instructions to be thorough and easy to follow. The build feels solid and the buttons have good tactile feedback, but the markings on them can be hard to see in low light because the icons are molded into them rather than stamped with contrasting ink. Other than that, I like everything else about this tape measure.

I remember having a really good laser that has a longer distance, I have a smaller laser that has a shorter distance, and I remember one time in a handbag I bought a laser at a hardware store that didn't work… This two and one thing is amazing, you can clip it right onto your belt clip and you don't even need a notepad!

It works well, but sometimes it is inaccurate

It's amazing how often you have to measure things around the house. My wife hangs pictures all the time and if they're not in exactly the right place, there's trouble in paradise. This tape measure is so handy. The laser function is a great help in tight, confined spaces. One feature that is especially useful is the way it stores previous measurements and eliminates the need to write the information down on paper if you need to measure again for later use. This is a necessary tool that will last a lifetime. Highly recommended.

This is an EXCELLENT tape measure. I love that it locks when you pull it out and if you want it to retract you just push the button. It is very accurate and very easy to read. I would have considered this an excellent tape measure if it showed the tape measurement in the digital window.

It is not easy to use.

Very nice laser tape measure, but could be a little better. I like having a traditional tape measure with a laser meter on it. Easy to use and very accurate. If you find yours isn't accurate, don't be afraid, you can calibrate it to measure perfectly. It works great, but there are 4 buttons on the side of the tape measure and it's very hard to see 3 of them. The triangle in the middle is the button you use to measure with the laser, but the other 3 buttons were hard to see. I would prefer if the manufacturer would color the buttons. You don't need them all the time, but when you do you have to strain hard to see them. It has a nice clip for your belt or pocket. It's a very nice product and if you don't mind not being able to see those other buttons easily, then this is the laser tape measure for you. I like it.

If you're familiar with these tools, then you know the pros and cons. Using a laser to measure is ingenious, but it has built in uncertainties and is prone to error. The laser, for example, moves with every little movement or twitch of your hands, so you really need to anchor your tool to a surface before taking the measurement. Once you did, it provided an accurate measurement. But if I'm just measuring a simple linear distance, like the space in my room or a 2×4 in front of me, I can do it with any tape. The value of this is for all the measurements where a simple tape just can't work. So, let's get right to what intrigued me… Part of the reason I chose this tool was to use triangulation calculations to measure the height of some of the trees in my yard… not realizing the sheer difficulty involved in getting an accurate reading. With this laser, at least. For example, if you're taking a measurement in daylight, good luck if you want to see the laser beam on a distant object. And if it's a tree, it's pretty much a lost cause to see it at the top anyway. Plus, if you can shoot the beam and see it perhaps in the dark?, you're still going to have trouble. In order to achieve accuracy, the second reading needs to be at a point exactly plumb to the first. So, if you're marking a leaf near the top, and a second point on the trunk at the base, you're going to lose accuracy unless the 2 points are on a plumb line. Maybe what you get is in range, maybe not. I was unsuccessful. The tape itself is solid, but also relatively heavy. It's not something I want hanging on my belt. I like that the tape itself pulls out easily, and doesn't retract unless you press the release button. But there are a few aspects that aren't ideal, like using 3 buttons arranged in a circle to control all the options via multiple presses. It's a complicated tool, so it makes sense that focusing is tricky I guess, but when you combine that with the small screen and a decimal point that may only be a couple of angstroms wide… Put another way, the screen is bright, but small and the decimal point is nearly impossible to see. Lastly, a quick mention that it's rechargeable. Good job.

The tape measure works as it should, it's simple and does its job. The laser mechanism is really the reason for the 5 stars. Excellent accuracy with so many types of measurements to choose from. I barely need to use the tape measure. It also comes with batteries.

It was fun to play around with this while I figured out how to use the laser feature. I didn't check out how to use it to measure area or Pythagoras theory. I'll probably never use those features, but the laser meter is easy to use. The tape measure has both imperial and metric units. The box includes instructions that were pretty clear. The on and off buttons are next to each other and located in a recessed area, making them a little harder to press.

Good tape at a good price and I like both the metric and English scales.

This tape measure is very good and the 8 foot overhang is very useful when trying to square things up. The only drawback is that the fractions are small and it is a bit difficult to see them.

I really like this tape measure, but it uses the old USB. It is accurate and measures square meters correctly. The battery life is also impressive. The display is well backlit and can be turned on and off. The unit can be easily changed. It takes a little time to learn how to use the controls, but eventually it is easy to use without the instructions.

I wish the physical metal tape measure on this model was good for 25 feet instead of 16 feet! On the other hand, the laser on this device measures up to 196 feet, a distance usually reserved for measuring tools much more expensive than this model!

This is a regular tape measure plus a laser meter that calculates square footage and area. I love the laser meter, I'm not sure how much I'll need the rest, but it's a great idea and works well once you get the hang of it. The instructions aren't too clear and it takes a bit of practice to really understand the different settings.

I used it almost every day in a semi trailer shop, but it does wear out. I'll start with that. The self locking works well, as long as you don't mind rolling it back. Other than that, it worked great, extends about 2.5m before collapsing on itself too, a perfect tape measure for the price

I needed a quick gift for Father's Day and this worked perfectly.

The locking system doesn't work, I've tried a few different things to fix it, but generally if I need it to stay open while I'm taking measurements I have to put something on it to stop it from retracting immediately. The quality seems very good, but it's obviously not recommended if it doesn't work properly.

This device works great and seems to be very accurate with the laser meter. My only complaint is that I thought it would display the measurement on the screen, but it doesn't. However, it is useful for measuring small parts and entire rooms.

First, the good part. What a great idea! Laser measuring with a tape measure. The laser measures very close to the tape and I would say close enough to say it is within tolerances. It is easy to use and I like that. I want to be able to press a button once it is on and make a straight line measurement and it does that well. The magnetic end of the tape measure is great but only if there is something to hold it to. The tape has both imperial and metric measurements BRAVO! And the whole package is good… but not great. Still, it deserves 5 stars but I do have a couple of suggestions… 1. The overhanging length of the tape is poor. If the tape was wider it would be great. 2. 16' of tape is adequate but just barely for me. I would have suggested 25' for a better package. 3. The laser is only good if there is something to bounce off of. So measuring flat surfaces where there is no backing is cumbersome. Imagine you needed to measure 2×6 lumber planks that were 19' 3" long. 16' is not enough and there is nothing on the tape measure that can address this issue with the laser. This is something the manufacturer should take into account. Again… great combination of tape measure and laser, my concerns are not gone. However, this would be a fantastic tape measure if those issues were addressed.

I never have enough tape measures in the shop. Adding four more helps. They're a little flimsier than the Fat Max I usually buy… but they're sufficient. The brake/rewind mechanism is also a little faulty… but again, it's good enough for light use.

I love that it shows fractions. It ensures that the measurements are accurate. I really like that you have to press a button to make it retract.

What I didn't like about the product is that I couldn't read the laser distances in daylight outside.

Plus, using it while building decks should give it some exposure as well. It has the basic tape measure and will allow you to use the laser light to measure continuously while standing over your work. Play around with it like I did and you'll check and double check your findings. I'm almost ready to rely on the measurements it gives me when I use this laser feature. When I'm on my own it will really come in handy to take some measurements without that extra set of hands. This isn't a bulky tape measure. It fits on my belt just as well as others. I'm not sure how much abuse it will take during a day of heavy work yet. We'll see. The instructions are well written and understandable. There is an auto calibration feature which will no doubt be used often. It's rechargeable and comes with a TYPE CX USB cable. We all have tons of those. During the day the laser dot may not be as visible as I'd like. I'll have to see for myself… literally. But when the laser hits what you're aiming at, you'll get a notification sound and the screen will register the reading. The screen is easily read. I've wanted one of these for a while. It'll take a few projects to get it quickly where you need it. So for now it's sitting in my shop where I can use it as much as I need to. I'll learn to grab this one first. I won't be throwing out my others just yet.

What I'm looking at is the standard tape measure. It's a nice tape measure. It feels sturdy and easy to use. The lock and hold work well. The tip adjusts based on the pull or push, which is to be expected. There is a magnet on the bottom in case you're measuring on metal… though I highly doubt you'll use the magnetic feature unless you're hanging it over a metal surface. The form factor is good for a tape measure. Easy to hold and grip.

It can be used for both manual on site measurements and as an electric laser measuring tool. The battery is included and very easy to install, and there is an electronic display to show the results of laser measurements. The manual tape measure measurements can be locked in a specific position.

This seems like a pretty sturdy tape measure. It has a white background with black lettering that is easily read in darker areas. The rubber coating makes it easy to grip. The brake button on the bottom of the tape measure is a little hard to press. This would be a great home tape measure, but I'm not sure if it would hold up to daily use in the construction field.

It feels solid very good

My husband is a carpenter and he told me that there are some good things about this tape measure, but that in his opinion it is a tool for home use only. It has a 2 meter stand. The numbers are very easy to read and the yellow front side of the tape has the measurements divided into sixteenths. The back side of the tape also has measurements so if you fold the tape in half you can read the measurements on both sides. There is a detent button on the bottom of the tape measure that locks the top in place only as long as you hold the button down, which if you need it to be held down for a longer period of time gives you the opportunity to slide the detent button on the front into position. Overall, it is a very good tape measure for what I need it for.

used to have to carry a tape measure, laser rangefinder, and a few other things. This has eased the burden a bit of measuring ceiling joists for wires. It is fairly accurate. It does require some light and can't be used in complete darkness to measure distances. A nice, affordable find.

pretty much agree with everything another reviewer said it seems like a very well built device, but is it worth the price? It has a nice weight to it and feels good in the hands. The standard tape measure is smooth, the laser measurement is accurate, and the ability to read a real time laser distance that changes as you move the device is nice. It has a lot of built in features, but the tiny micro printed instruction manual means I'll probably never learn how to use them. And the buttons on the side of the device have some sort of symbols etched into them, but with no color contrast, I can't really see what they are you'll have to memorize what they do, if you can read the manual at all. I have another one of these devices that was around 30, and this one is clearly superior to that one. But there are also plenty of these devices in the 45 50 range. Is this one worth paying extra for? I can't say. But given the inability to read the buttons and manual, I might be inclined to try one of these first.

I didn't know this was on the market. I had to do all the interior window frames in my house and this tool allowed me to take the measurements excellently. Make sure you buy it as it is easy to use and very accurate.

This tool is great! It has a 16 measuring tape and a 135 foot laser. I don't do any major work around my house so I can't speak to its durability in those conditions, but for my purposes, it's been extremely useful and the laser measurement is great for quick distance measurement. Some have mentioned that the battery life is too short. While I keep in mind that I'm not a heavy user, I just moved into a new house and have been using it almost daily and haven't even run out of the first battery charge yet. Your mileage may vary of course, but overall, the battery life is very reasonable. Even if it wasn't, it recharges fairly quickly via USB connection. I would recommend this measuring tape and would purchase it again.

Many laser tape meters only offer a digital readout for the laser, but not for the tape. This is one of the few that also offers a digital readout for the tape. Very nice.

It seems like what I've needed all my life.

Pretty accurate compared to manual measurement. Uses 2 AAA batteries included which requires the use of the included Phillips screwdriver you could see this wearing out if you change batteries quite often. Build quality and materials are as expected. Easy to use 2 button design with LCD display, multiple units of measurement metric/standard. If you don't use it much, make sure to store it without batteries. The physical tape measure function is smooth and the lock/release works well. A bit pricey considering a standalone single function laser tape measure from Bosch is 20% cheaper though it doesn't offer a built in manual tape measure.

Laser measurements with this tape have been hit or miss for me. At times, they've been off by as much as 1/4 inch 64mm. I find this is because the laser is a little out of alignment with the bottom of the case. I wouldn't recommend using it for anything that needs any degree of accuracy. But it's great for quick, rough estimates. The saving grace is the tape itself, which I can extend up to 9 feet almost 3m before it breaks. Both sides have measurement markings, and the back has both metric and imperial units. The magnets on the end are strong, but not too strong. When I roll it up, I don't feel like it's going to spin around and poke my eye out. There may be traditional tapes on the market with similar or better quality, but the added feature of the laser, for the price, makes this a pretty good product.

I bought this product for work. I work for a commercial flooring company and sometimes I get asked to go out into the field and measure a small job or check measurements on larger things. It worked great right out of the box with no setup required. I am very pleased with this product and would buy it again without hesitation if mine stopped working. I compared it to my coworker's laser measurer which was 250 and this one is just as accurate. I would recommend it 10/10.

wish I liked this tape measure, but so far I'm finding it a little difficult to use. A lot of my discomfort is probably due to the learning curve, but some attributes make it harder than it should be. I find the symbols on the buttons a little difficult to see, and the user manual pictures of the keys when referencing them even more difficult. The function buttons are on the side, making them nearly impossible to see unless you turn it sideways so you can look directly at them. And if you have bad lighting, good luck, as you have black symbols on black keys. Maybe with a lot of use a person will figure out which key to press. The tape measure is large enough that it sometimes takes two hands to use, such as unlocking the locking button on the tape. I also find it odd that when using the tape measure there isn't a mode that allows you to do an internal measurement that includes the body dimension of the tape. The laser measurement is included with the body of the tape, so the manufacturer may be thinking that you will be using the laser for this purpose. For me, using the laser to get the dimensions of a room is probably the best feature and is when I will use this device the most.

The laser is good for measuring wall to wall, and combining the two makes for an easy win. If the price was lower, it would probably hit 5 stars, but currently at 50, it doesn't hit 5 for me.

The tape has an automatic lock, it is very safe and easy to use. The laser meter was very handy and allowed me to measure much faster. Great product! I like it very much.

These are sturdy, well made measuring tapes that offer both imperial and metric scales. The imperial is on the top, visible when in use, and when turned upside down, the metric is visible. I just wish the metric had been on the top and yes, I would buy this again.

The only thing I didn't like about this tool was the instructions, which seem like they were written by a translation app. So while the word choices may be incorrect, you can deduce what they actually mean. The tool's ability to calculate area and volume was a surprise. The ability to add multiple areas together essentially allows you to measure the exterior walls of your house, subtract areas for windows and doors, and calculate how much paint is needed without the need for a ladder. It appears to be accurate based on some measurements I made with both the laser and the tape. The tape is high quality with easy to read numbers and a fairly rigid body that should hold up well. It automatically retracts with ease. There are even magnets on the tape's hook to help keep it in place when measuring metal objects. Like I said, the instructions are a bit tedious and you'll have to play around with it a bit to really get a feel for its capabilities, but it's an impressive tool.

Is this the future? I guess so. To be honest, it's not the easiest to use and is a bit fiddly at first. However, once you get the hang of it, it's a nice tool to have around. Personally, I still prefer the old fashioned way. I'm glad it comes with it. I can definitely see the potential of using it in some areas. I haven't had to so far. Amazing product.

This tool is amazing! My husband spent some time testing it out before I wrote this review so we clearly understood how well it worked and what it was for. We love that it switches from standard to metric. The display is very easy to read and understand. The tape itself is very sturdy and holds up when used to measure longer distances it doesn't bend or kink easily, but it's still lightweight and can easily be carried on your belt. The only thing to keep in mind which is explained in the instructions is that when using the laser to measure, you have to take into account the length of the tape measure itself. This is an extra step to keep in mind and can be a bit annoying, which is why I gave it four stars. Overall, it's a really cool idea and would make an excellent gift!

Technology! My dad always has to measure things, but he's older now and has trouble moving gracefully or standing for long periods of time. He loves this because he doesn't have to walk back and forth between objects or bend over to measure heights. The batteries it came with were dead.

can't say that I've understood everything, there are a lot of functions that I'll probably never use. The most important thing to know is that it's very intuitive and has a little icon that indicates where the measurement starts from. It has decent quality, the price isn't exactly cheap, but it's worth it. If you ever run out of battery, you can easily use the classic measurement. Unfortunately, I can't say how accurate it is, as I don't have anything to compare it to, but I don't think it's lying.

This is a good laser tape measure at a great price. It has multiple modes for various units of measurement and is intuitive to use just point the red light at what you want to measure and press the button on the side. It seems to be accurate and it's nice that it also has the lockable manual tape measure for when you want that feature. To change units, just press the button on the side. Our only criticism of this tape measure is the location of the button for the laser measurement. Because it's on the side and not somewhere where your fingers would be, it's hard to press the button without shaking the unit and moving the dot. It's just awkward not a huge deal, but if the button was located in an area where your fingers would naturally rest, it would be a lot easier to use. This is a useful tool at a good price. I'll update the information if it doesn't last long, but so far it seems sturdy and is very useful. We like the fact that it does the job of two tools a laser tape measure and a standard tape measure.

What a great tool/device for any homeowner or contractor. It's a great way to accurately and easily measure distances as well as take multiple measurements. You can add or delete recorded measurements and even have it take appropriate measurements based on the type of space/room you want to measure. If the laser isn't what you need, you can use the 10 foot handheld tape measure that also comes with this tool. The retractable tape measure is easy to read and stays in place when you need it without having to remember to lock it in place. It has a belt clip, a bright display, toggles sounds on and off, and you can quickly charge it with the included USB C cable. As a note, it doesn't come with a charging brick, so you'll need a USB A brick/outlet to charge this tape measure. One downside is that there is just too much stuff to remember. The instructions are often thrown around, but it's hard to remember everything this product does. The buttons are easy enough to remember, but they're not foolproof or easy to understand if you don't use them daily or often enough. I have attached the instruction manual in my photo review to help anyone who may have this item but have thrown away the instructions and need a point of reference. I would absolutely recommend this item and think it is great for professionals and as a home tool to have around the house.

This tape is very accurate when placed perpendicular to the wall. It is quite light. The screen is a bit small because it measures so much length, area and volume. It is an excellent value for what it does.

This locking tape measure is a nice 16 foot metric tape measure. The laser measuring device is rechargeable with the included cable USB charger required and the power button covers the connector nicely. The power button is on the back of the device and the controls are on the side. It uses a red laser which is still dangerous to the eyes but safer than a green laser. I checked the accuracy using a tape measure in front of a laser and they matched perfectly within about 12 feet. I'm still getting used to the controls so I can measure from the front of the tape measure but I have to learn. The included instructions say it is possible to perform a calibration and I have to learn how to do that so I can check the accuracy. The controls take some getting used to as they are on the side while the display is on the top. You can easily set the units and recall the last reading. This device seems sturdy and will be good for home use. I don't recommend it for professionals.

This laser tape measure is fun to use and it was an interesting experiment to check out the accuracy of the laser. We found that it was pretty accurate most of the time, so it's not perfect, but it's good enough for a lot of things. I wouldn't use the laser to measure anything that requires accuracy to within a single millimeter, but for general measurements it's done a good job. The tape measure part itself works well and there really are no issues with using it. This is our first laser tape measure and because of this we have no idea how long a brand name laser tape measure would last so we don't have anything to compare it to, but we're definitely keeping an eye on how long it can survive the test of time/a life where it might get dropped, etc.

The laser also reads the back of the tape and is accurate and works just like a traditional tape.

The blade lock is excellent, the distance on the tape is accurate as is the digital laser.

This is an amazing device. I've never seen anything like it. It takes measuring to a new level. You can measure distances with a tape measure or laser device with a digital readout on the device or on your phone if you use the Bluetooth app. Or read the tape, but that seems unnecessary with the digital readout. It can read feet or metric. It can also measure areas and volumes, though I haven't tried those features yet. Rechargeable via included USB A cable. They use the term revolutionary and that's fitting for this tool. I predict it will become the new standard measuring tool and will soon be an essential in every toolbox and workshop.

This tape measure is amazing, sure it's only 16 feet long, but the laser makes up for it. There is one downside: the tape's display is fragile if you drop it on it, boom!

It didn't exist at the time, but it does now, for your benefit. For a reasonable price I received two nice, sturdy tape measures that can measure in both metric and US customary units. I'm very happy with them. And you should be too. Unless… Don't trust me.

Very good laser tape measure. I have tried it with other high end laser products and this one is accurate and easy to use. Both the laser readout and the standard tape measure are easy to read. Both are for different uses. I have one in my RV and one in my garage. Recommended.

It does not come with a pedestal to place the laser.

This is a fantastic laser meter/tape measure. It's easy to use, and the controls are easy to understand but if you can't, the manual is very clear as well. I found it to be intuitive. It has everything you'd expect you can compensate for the size of the tape measure if you want, it has both spot and continuous measurements, it can do areas and volumes, it can use the Pythagorean theorem, and it does handy calculations with your measurements. It also has a calibration feature. My only complaint is that it doesn't work well outdoors, where the light is too bright. There are laser meters that work in bright light conditions. But this one will work just fine for you if you need it indoors, in a shop, or on an indoor construction site.
