Easy installation We bought the same gate 11 years ago and it worked well except our toddler picked the lock the first day after installation. This version had a different locking mechanism but was extremely hard to open, although it was more secure than the original. The price is good and for a quick dog gate it works well.

Great and practical. I bought this to keep my dogs out of our bedroom area and it is really practical and much better than the one we had before which didn't have a door.

Easy to use. We use this item as a dog gate, so we do not lock the bottom latch so the opening is only from the top. A baby gate should also have the bottom latch locked for safety reasons. This means you have to bend down and unlock the bottom latch and then operate the top latch. This would be a hassle if used multiple times throughout the day. Other than that, the gate is solid and works well. For our use as a dog gate, I would buy it again.

The gate was easy to install. Good quality! Our dogs are still puppies and fit through the posts with no problem. They are getting big enough to not be able to get through anymore, but for now they can get through. I needed a gate that was sturdy or closer to the posts! This is not really the fault of the product.

Easy to apply, easy to use. These child safety locks were very easy to install. I just used the adhesive type but there are screw holes on the bases for optional use with screws. The magnet comes with a little disk that sticks on as a holder which is really handy so you don't lose it. We attach them directly to the fridge. These will probably work on most modern cabinets and drawers. If you have older style cabinets my only concern would be that the thickness would affect the magnetism. Our console table has slightly thicker drawers and it is harder to find the release point with the magnet. They hold very well. Our 2 year old couldn't open the drawers!

Very nice. I would be hesitant to use it on stairs. I like it a lot, but we warned you not to be too wide to fit through the opening.

Does not sit flush with the floor. This gate fit in my doorway and worked fine for a few days before it came loose. I was unable to permanently attach it to the doorway because the bottom of the gate does not sit flush. My little one also had difficulty climbing over the bottom of the gate opening.

Wobbly machined. It held!! Not as strong as others. We use ours to keep dogs out. The top handle to lock it seems wobbly and cheap. I use a wooden gate on the dog side in front of this wobbly gate. Update. So far it has held, even after one of the dogs tried to chew through it.

Great gate! The bottom lock is a bit annoying but it works! Only gave 4 stars because the bottom lock is a bit annoying to open and close. As long as you READ THE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS you should be fine! I am happy with this purchase.

Easy to install. This product is absolutely great. Bought it for the bottom of my stairs. It was very easy to install and sturdy. My little one tried to pull it down but it didn't work! Would buy again.

Nice for pets or babies. This gate is great for keeping our dogs and smaller grandkids from using the stairs since I fitted it at the bottom. It was very easy to figure out and put together but I had a smaller one before. My stairs were just over 47 and it only took a minute to figure out which of the pieces could be used together so they fit perfectly. It's very versatile with the different sized sections and you can fit the gate in the middle or on the side. The gate latch was a little tricky at first but once I figured it out it's now easy to open and re latch.

wish it was sturdier, but it serves its purpose. I have a one year old son and he knew how to open this gate since he was 10 months old. We have to open the extra lock to keep him from getting out, which is a little hard to lock. The gate is fine, but when he tries to climb over it, it is a little wobbly. I have a big one year old son who is a little adventurous, but I still wish the gate was sturdier.

Works as expected. Installation was easy following the included instructions. Expecting all 4 threaded spindles to be the same distance from the wall is unrealistic due to the paneling. Hopefully this won't be an issue over time. Bought to keep 4 large dogs out of the living room temporarily. Didn't plan on permanently attaching it to a wall, specifically looked for an extended gate where it wasn't necessary. All the warning stickers are just a nuisance. Who wants to see all of them in their house?! And removing them is a pain. When will retailers finally wake up to this? From candles to baby gates, no stickers please! Anyway, it works as described, aside from needing to be wall mounted to childproof it.

Sturdy. It's very sturdy. And the lock is tight. Be careful, the door locks when you push down the two bottom locking mechanisms where you turn the wheel to lock the bracket behind the door. If the baby opens it, it will open, especially if you have it upstairs.

Great gate and easy to assemble. Small issue: It is very child proof but not so puppy proof. The problem was the extensions were either too big or too small and we had to over tighten the screw that attached to the wall. This made the gate less stable.

Safe. Very easy to install. I like the sticker that lets you know the spacing is normal until you tighten it. What I don't like is that it will slide if you don't put the anchors in. I don't like the look of the anchors so we'll just leave it attached to the wall and hope it holds up for a while.

Easy peasy. Setup was simple. Once you put it in the door frame the locks line up so no worries about wobbling. The door mounting rubber was pretty easy to figure out, it's wobbly and doesn't screw into the gate but it works lol. The biggest issue is the floor I have to step over. Luckily that's only temporary so the dog can stay in that area when he's outside. We put an orange marker to remind us. I almost tripped and got caught. It definitely feels sturdy and the lock is childproof. The door opens and stays open until you lock it. I also used the extra extender.

Our favorite. This was my third purchase of this item. This gate is super easy to assemble, won't damage your walls, and is easy to take down and put up. We have one in our house, our lake house, and now our new house. It comes with lots of pieces that allow you to adjust the width of the door frame you want to block. Highly recommend. It's also great for keeping dogs in certain areas of your house and keeping them out of there.

good for pets, the only downside is that the extension piece is labeled as part "D" but there is no reference to this part in the instructions which confused me until I realized there were no instructions for this part other than it being labeled as "extension" on the parts page. Other than that, it was easy to install and is very sturdy. I use it for pets so not sure how childproof the locking mechanism is. It is easy for adults to use even when they are carrying something.

Fits well. Fits nicely in the RV door. Unfortunately my 2 year old figured out how to open it very quickly. Works well for animals though

Serves its purpose. This baby gate is a little frustrating to assemble, but if you follow the instructions, you'll be fine. I like that you can lock it once you close it. Overall, it serves its purpose. I'm happy with it.

Good for grandmas. Perfect safety gate to protect toddlers from falling down the stairs. If I were to leave it permanently, I would screw it to the banister and the wall. I only use it when my kids come from outside. It's a bit difficult to step over the bar when opening the gate and going down the stairs. Reasonable price.

Very simple and makes sense. I think these are nearly perfect gates! Incredibly easy to install and look so clean and fresh. However, I didn't give them 5 stars because I have to say that the gate opening itself is very narrow. I have a size 2 and even so there is only a couple of inches of space on either side when I walk through. Other than that, it's great. I did have to use the extension that was included, but I wouldn't be surprised if most people need MORE than one.

Keep them safe! If you have a small child at home, you need to secure exits to prevent them from running away. This extra wide gate with fixings can be fitted into passageways and extended if necessary. The lock is secured enough to prevent children from fiddling with it. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because it becomes a hassle to open the gate outdoors if the bottom lock is closed.

Simple and beautiful. We installed the wall mount and it is much more stable. Without it, it would gradually shift when bumped. The lock is easy to open even for my 5 year old. My teenage son put it together with no problems. Perfect for separating rooms so our puppy has his own room to run around in!

Perfect for keeping cats locked up. I needed to keep two cats in different parts of the house and this worked perfectly. Assembly and installation was easy and even with the latch/lock it's easy to do one handed when carrying stuff and need to get through.

Um, so my one year old figured out how to open the gate and it worked fine, but now I'm back to square one looking for a safer baby gate.

Good dog gate. I have an opening, not a door. My dog had to stay in the kitchen area at night. He doesn't like the crate and freaks out. I have an opening from the kitchen to the dining room that I had to close off with a gate. Something like 4 feet! I had to play around with the extensions until I found the right fit. At first he was able to squeeze through the end side of the gate. The side was pushing against the wall. Now I think I've got it. He stays in and couldn't escape. LoL. I know the gate has to fit all door sizes, but I wish the swing door opening was a little wider. Also, my kids have to remember not to trip over the bottom bar when going through. It's not something you can take off and put back on. I mean, you could, but you'd have to adjust it every time. I guess a baby won't fit through the side slats like my little dog does! LoL

Fine, but kids will figure this lock out. This gate is great, easy to install and use. It doesn't swing both ways which is a little annoying but not a big deal. My only concern is that if you are buying this to keep kids from getting anywhere, this lock is not the best. My child figured out how to unlock and open this gate at about 30 months. Works great for keeping my pets out of my office but is basically just a minor inconvenience for my child now. If it's to keep your child out of something dangerous like stairs, I would possibly recommend a different gate with a different lock.

Good for the price. I bought this gate to replace another gate I bought about 6 years ago that finally broke, a spring popped out. This is a nice gate for the price. It has a nice latch and fits quite nicely and tightly into the door frame making it very sturdy. I recommend it. My last gate was more expensive and didn't have a latch, you had to lift it which was problematic for visitors who couldn't figure out how to open it.

Simple and easy to use. Extremely simple and easy to use. I don't use the locking mechanism as I have a small dog, just pull the lever up or down, that's all. For about 30 on offer, it's well worth the money. I bought 2 and regret not buying 4. Hopefully next time I can buy the next 2 for the same price.

Good product, bad components. I needed a baby gate for stairs and it worked well, but one of the two bolts had a bad thread so I could only use one. I'm not sure if that affects the integrity of the gate or not. Disappointing.

The latch is not correct. The gate has stops on the bottom that determine which way the gate will open. Unfortunately, the latch only allows the gate to open one way. If the stop on the gate accidentally falls to the opposite side, the gate will not open. This becomes a problem if you are on the opposite side of the gate from the stop. Trying to reach the stop to lift it back up can be awkward.

Dog Gate We use this as a dog gate to keep the dog up or down. I attached a small bungee cord to it so it swings shut on its own without locking so you can open it with your knee.

Fantastic gate. Our household uses the gate to keep our 17 month old daughter from going into the kitchen. We have had the gate for about 7 months and it still works great. Very stable. This gate is very stable and easy to use. It is a little difficult to set it up firmly and it can dig into soft walls. Use the included cups for the tie down points. Good price, better than what you find in stores.

It does the job. This gate is wide enough for the space we need without sacrificing stability. We wondered how sturdy it would be, but it holds up. You have to move the locking mechanism every time you want to open or close it, unlike other gates we have where you swing it closed and then it closes and locks itself, which is a little inconvenient, but not a huge problem.

Easy installation. Installed it on a staircase to keep the dog down. Everything went smoothly. I had to use one of the extensions. However, if I put it on the landing at the top of the stairs, I need an additional extension. So I chose this gate because of the flexibility in size. When first assembled, it looks like the gate has too much of a gap. But when you tighten all sides to the wall, it fits just perfectly. Very happy with this purchase.

Reasonably priced gate. Pros: The price is good and it is very wide so it fits our stairs. Easy to install. No drilling required. Easy to remove if needed. Easy to close, lock and open. Great for kids and pets. It is sturdy. Cons: The paint job is poor which is a safety issue. If you see the photo I put tape on the corner of the metal because it has sharp edges that you can cut yourself on. Also, the photo shows the side of the metal when they were done because they didn't sand down the metal so it left a very sharp metal cut that would cut your skin or hurt your child's face. So I had to hit it down with a hammer and break the sharp metal. So check the metal parts after you finish installing

My dogs can't bother me. This was easy to set up and I occasionally have to adjust the screws to keep it in place but overall it has held up very well with daily use.

The height is ideal for keeping our dogs out and the gates look good compared to those clunky plastic gates. Great for outdoor use too. We bought it for the porch of our condo so our dog could stay on the porch. We've had it outside for a few months and it still looks great. It's not rusted or anything. It's the only gate I found that was wide enough to fill the gap we needed to fill with the gate.

Great gift! I ordered this as a housewarming gift for a friend and she absolutely loves it! She said it has been so helpful in keeping the dogs out of her kids' room while they play alone. She can leave the door open and hear them when she's in the other room but keep the dogs out and the kids in!

Easy to install, sturdy, affordable. This gate is used to keep my dogs in when I have visitors and it's great. It's very sturdy, comfortable to walk through and it was easy to install. My door frames are slightly rounded and it's still very secure. I did have to use the extension but I was still able to install this gate easily in about 10 minutes and I'm not the best at these things. The parts were clearly labeled in the instructions and the directions were easy to follow both written and pictured. I would definitely recommend this product if you need a solid, simple and affordable gate.

Wobbly. After 4 months the hinge broke. I contacted customer service and they replaced it free of charge.

A decent baby gate The ROTTAY baby gate is a good product that does everything it promises. First the pros: It is a pressure mounted gate that holds well even when a wild baby or dog tries to take it down. It is made of metal and feels sturdy. Now for the cons: The instructions provided were not very precise and detailed, which made it a pain to figure out how to assemble it and attach it to the wall. The lock feels cheap and loose as it can be easily lifted. I have not had the baby open it yet, but I wouldn't expect to in a few months

Works great for a 55" doorway! I bought this gate to keep a cat out of a room with an extra wide 55" opening. I read some reviews here that it doesn't fit a 55" size that is too big or too small, but I wanted to add a review to show that it fits EXACTLY for that size and leaves plenty of room to spare thanks to the adjustable bolts on the ends in either direction. Installation was mostly easy except for a few minor issues. Installation instructions were good. Very clear, good pictures and in good English, there was also a Spanish page, possibly a third language as well. The main issues were a few fit and finish issues during assembly. The extensions are joined together with a rod and hole coupler. One of the rods wasn't aligned with the hole so I had to slightly pry the rod up with a flathead screwdriver to get it to fit together. One more thing is that the top hinge of the gate is held in place with a pin and bracket. The bracket was a little warped so I had to file it down a bit to get it to fit together. But other than that, everything fit together well. One more issue: the "optional safety locks" on the bottom of the gate that you can twist down to keep the gate closed even if you operate the latch at the top, would NOT move for me. They would not twist and would stay stuck in the "up" position. It could be user error, but the instructions simply said "twist them" which just didn't work. So either bad instructions, bad design, or this unit was poorly manufactured. With those issues fixed, the gate does exactly what I wanted: provides an easy way to get into a room without a door while keeping out a cat that doesn't like jumping out of the room. Perfect size, good solution. Thanks, ROTTAY!

Pretty good…the assembly is confusing. Overall the gate is very convenient. I bought this for my dog and it works so well. I wish there was a video or clear instructions it would have saved me a lot of time. I nearly went crazy trying to figure out why there was a huge gap at the door and it wouldn't close. So I'll tell you…once you get the gate assembled and standing upright you will notice that the lock on the door and the side it's supposed to lock on closes A LOT less! There is a huge clearance issue…but when you start putting pressure on the sides through the pivot adjustment the gap closes and the gate and the side it's supposed to lock on magically touch and lock into place.

Good value for money, sturdy enough for my pup. Pleasantly surprised at how well it works. Our door frame didn't require the extension and we opted not to install the "cups" for extra secure placement since that requires drilling into the door. I'm not sure it would feel like the plastic cups were necessary if the gate was wider with the extension. So far the pressurized rubber stops that press against the inside of the door are working fine and the gate sits very sturdily. It only opens one way but that's worked fine for us and if we want it to stay open it doesn't get in the way. I like that it has locking levels. First… you can open it with one hand and walk through pretty loosely and lock it. If you want to lock it in the next step you'll need two hands. If you want to make it even more secure you can slide a tab on the bottom to one or two sides. This is a nice feature if you have kids. We use this for a puppy who thankfully doesn't jump on it and is smart, but not smart enough to figure out how to lift it up! Toddlers might be able to figure this out, but if you lock it with the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th option, they won't be able to do it. For the price, it's pretty sturdy and easy to put together. We're pretty happy with it, and it keeps the puppy out of the kitchen until he learns better manners!

No, this will not fit 59" door openings. Bought it because many reviewers said it would fit about 59" door openings. Well yes and no. It will extend that far, but just barely. But it is not usable at that size because the pressure mounts become extremely wobbly and it falls down with the slightest pressure…but for the right door opening width, it is fantastic. So I finally bought a 4" extender from the ROTTAY website for under twenty dollars and now it is super sturdy for my 59" door opening.

Good for the price. Doesn't work well for small animals. The gate itself is OK. It's reasonably sturdy and easy to set up. If you don't plan on screwing the little wall cups to the wall, I'd highly recommend getting third party ones that have a rubber backing that sticks to the wall better. But even with those, it falls off a lot and needs constant readjustment. It can't be put on too tightly or the gate won't close. Also, I know this isn't strictly a pet gate, but I see a lot of people using it as one. Just keep in mind that even though the bars seem to be pretty close together, our pup was able to wriggle between them easily when he first came home, but once he was 5 7 lbs, that was no longer a problem. By then, we simply needed a backup solution.

Easy to install, sturdy and safe. I run a home daycare and need a safe and accessible door to our play area that also allows me to keep an eye on the kids when I go outside to change diapers. This gate is PERFECT. I can see the kids at all times and don't have to climb over the gate since it has a door, and it has a safety latch that prevents kids from opening the gate themselves. The height is high enough so kids can't climb over it. The color and look is sleek and aesthetically pleasing. We love this gate and would definitely consider purchasing more of these for additional areas in our home.

Dog Gate The instructions were terrible. I had a hard time putting it together. It works but it's a little wobbly. If someone bumps into it, it falls completely down even though I screwed the sides in place.

Works great. Installation was easy. Be sure to measure the width of your stairs beforehand to make sure the gate will fit. I would suggest buying the padded inserts that fit over the ones that come with it. They make the gate even more secure and protect your walls.

Just what I needed. Easy to install and well built, not cheaply made. The only downside is that my puppy is small enough at the moment to escape between the bars. But soon she will be big enough that she won't be able to do that.

Great gate! I did a lot of research looking for a gate that didn't need to be screwed to my stair railing. We use this gate at the bottom of our stairs to keep the dog from going up the stairs. It's a little tricky to understand at first, but once you learn it, it's very straightforward and well constructed. We can remove this gate when the dog is away or when we have company. We use it with only 2 of the mounting screws, but you can use 4. Plus, it comes with wall brackets for even more stability. These brackets screw into the wall for more security, but the gate can still be removed. I really love this gate. It seems like it would work in a lot of unique spaces.

Will hold a puppy up to 30 lbs. Our pup is a mess, but this gate is her equal! Highly recommend it. However, if you also have a cat, please keep in mind that it is difficult for them to get over and get stuck. We learned the hard way.

Great gate, just a little confusing to put together! It was a little tricky to install but once we got the hang of it it was easy. The gate is very sturdy, we never really had any problems with it. The lock works but it was a little confusing how to put it together but overall it's a great product!

Overall good. It works well for my intended use. The only downside is that the bottom latch on the door is stuck and won't close like the second lock. The kids have weakened the door by pushing on the bottom with their feet while trying to get through.

Great value for money. I needed something for the bottom of the stairs as my son has started crawling but didn't want to spend hundreds on a high quality gate. This was easy to install and is very sturdy!

Is not extra wide. This product works for us but does not reach the full 56 inches. If you spread it that far apart, the bolts would not support the gate on the sides. We ended up using a wall bracket for each bracket to add 1 inch so the bolts don't stick all the way out to make the 56 inch spacing. The locking feature is great and the gate itself is very sturdy, but for extra wide spacing you will want to make sure you have something else to build each bracket up to.

I love this gate! Bought it to keep our dogs out of the kitchen! I will definitely be buying more for the rest of the house! I'm sure if it keeps 3 80lb dogs in one room, they will be fine keeping babies in the room too!

A very nice gate, but the door is a bit narrow. Seems to be quite sturdy. The description said no drilling was required, but the instructions recommended it. However, it seems to be sturdy enough without drilling. With the extra extensions I was able to adjust it to my door frame. We have a cheaper wooden gate, but it doesn't have a door, so it either has to be put up or taken down. This type of gate is better, but beware of the narrow door.

Arrived overnight and quickly. Assembly was not easy. Didn't work for the area I bought it for, but I am using it for another area.

Easy to assemble, works well. Will only hold to the wall if you use the wall guard. Otherwise a toddler could easily push this gate out of the door frame. The wall guard needs to be screwed into the wall unless you want to use an adhesive. It also requires some DIY work. If one side is too tight the gate will not open. Make sure the gate is straight by aligning it at the bottom.

Best Buy LASTS 7 YEARS I bought this gate in 2017 and still have it to this day. It was such a good purchase to keep our dogs off the stairs. Please read the instructions. The visible gap disappears once you tighten the bars. Highly recommend. It has held up thousands of times we have opened and closed the gate and moved it to different areas of the house.

The lock does not keep children out. It is easy to install, but the locking function is too easy for children to master. My 2 year old figured it out on the first day.

It works but has one flaw. This product does what it's supposed to do. I use it to keep my dogs from going into the basement. The only thing I took off a star for is that the metal piece on the bottom is completely across so you have to step over it when you go through or you could trip over it. Also, make sure you read the instructions. If you put it between the walls it will look bent when you tighten it but that's what it's supposed to do.

Good but the latch is a bit fiddly. Bought this for our living/kitchen area, it's absolutely solid and that's exactly what I needed. Works well so far against 2 German Shepherds. Only complaint: the latch started to get a little stuck but that was quickly fixed with WD 40. All in all pretty good.

Very narrow passage. It's functional and serves its purpose, but the passage is very narrow and that's annoying. Also, it's made up of many parts. Should have done a bit more research and bought one that only swings on a hinge instead of in the middle.

OK, the knobs don't stick to the unit when moving and fall out easily. Tightening them hurts your fingers. My 14 month old figured out how to open it pretty quickly so it's good that they actually have spare locks. I like the sturdiness and ease of use of the gate once it's secured.

Great! But the handle… The handle is a little stiff and doesn't move much. BUT! Great replacement gate. BE CAREFUL WITH INSTALLATION. The door has a gap because it is a tension gate. EXPLAINED in the manual. I used zip ties to get the gate and the edge close enough together to install it between the walls.

Looks good and is effective. I have one of these installed on each floor of my terraced house at the top of the stairs. The gate can be locked and opened with one hand if the grey lock part is not used. It can be difficult to open with one hand if the grey lock part is used. The gates look good, they are sturdy and can be installed without damaging the adjacent walls. Highly recommended.

Works as described. It works for us but I have to respectfully say it is not suitable for a tall person as the gate opening is quite narrow but that is something to keep in mind when purchasing.

Good baby/dog gate This is a good dog/baby gate I bought it because I am about to have major back surgery and need a dog gate so people can get into my room easier and I can leave my door open and my dogs don't bark as much. Because they stay in my room because I rent a room they don't run free 24/7. It took a minute and different drywall screws to install than the ones that came with it and I also had to drill holes in the frame of my door before I could install the screws before I could install the pieces that hold it in place. Just take that into account but other than that this gate is fantastic

Opening and closing is smooth and easy. The instructions are straightforward and simple. Finally someone knows how to make a quality safety gate.

Easy peasy. This was super easy to install! I didn't have to drill it into the wall but it still stayed amazingly stable and strong. My toddler pulls on it and it doesn't move. More than happy with this purchase

Great gate. It's a fantastic gate! I have a 15 month old son who is a bit wild. He has tried to knock it over but it doesn't move. The only thing I don't like is that the bottom lock is only a small piece, it doesn't necessarily lock, so my three year old quickly learned to open it.

Lifesaver Absolute lifesaver for small children. My house is older and has three stories and extra wide door frames. Regular baby gates wouldn't work and the ones I found were so low that my son could get over them if he leaned far enough. I finally ordered this one and now I have one in every interior doorway even when I have to close a door there. The unique latch on top keeps my son safe in the area and leaves no chance of him getting out or falling over.

Puppy gate no escape now. This is absolutely perfect. We have been herding dogs for a few months and every time we opened the door they would immediately run out. Now there is no escape and we can still use the front door. We now let them out on the porch so they can get some air and hang out. It was easy to put together and works great.

Easy to use but the door broke after a few days. Easy to install and the locking function is easy to use. The door is not welded well at all and breaks easily. My 9 month old baby was standing there holding on to the door bars and with some pulling the bottom piece of the door broke, see photo. I have emailed support to get a new door to replace the broken one so I hope they agree.

Stops my toddler from going into the medicine drawer. Toddlers are always curious and seem to get to everything, including our medicine drawer! This allows us to lock the drawer so our toddler can't open it and it doesn't take too much force to open. The cool thing about this product is that it comes with an alignment tool which makes installation a lot easier so you don't need rulers to measure distances etc. The locks are pretty sturdy plastic and not wobbly at all. However, they do take up a little space in the drawer or cabinet and some cabinets may only allow you to install them at the bottom as the top frame doesn't have enough material to mount the latch, so they take up some space. One of my other favorite features is that you can push the latch in and it basically stays unlocked, so when you no longer need to lock the drawer or cabinet, you don't have to remove it, you can just push the latch down and leave it unlocked.

Stable The gate is great. No problems and holds 3 large dogs that could climb over it if they wanted to.

Feels sturdy but creaks. I've had a few gates from this brand. This is the first one where the handle is stuck and you have to kind of wiggle it until it finally cracks and opens. Other than that it works well.

Great but the bars were too far apart. Great but the bars were too far apart. Our dog can get through the bars so we had to tape cardboard through them since he is super smart and figured it out. Overall functional but be careful if you have a smaller/skinny dog.

If your dog likes to jump, you may need to build something to make it higher. I had to. It served its purpose, but I had to build an extension to make it higher since my pup can't really jump high.

It serves its purpose but is very cheaply made and the lock is a bit hard to use. It bends at the bottom and is quite short, it reaches my belly button and I am very short.

Good for the price. The lock isn't the most practical. You may have to fiddle around a bit to close or open it, especially if the gate is tight. If it's not tight, it'll fall out.
