After reading some reviews I thought it was going to be harder than it was, but there was almost no learning curve
It's easy to use and coming from someone who appreciates clear ice and has gone to great lengths to achieve this, I'm completely satisfied
I suggest (1) being patient and allowing more time to freeze the cubes – think 24 hours; (2) Use a drip tray when removing the cubes so that they don't just end up in your sink and catch any germs or soap that might be lurking on them; and (3) enjoy the clear ice cream! Tasty AF, clearer than the freshest stream! The drinks later tonight will include these, I'll update with a picture later today!

The temperature setting of your freezer, the placement of the mold in the freezer, the frequency with which the door is opened, the weather are all factors when using this mold

It takes a little experimentation to determine the right freezing time for your particular freezer, but even if you leave it out too long, you can use a little warm water to make unmolding and harvesting your cubes an easy task

This was a gift for my husband and we were both shocked at how well it really works
After removing the insert from the foam surround I was able to remove the silicone mold from the plastic base and then remove some of the ice that had formed around the silicone and then remove the lovely cubes from the mold.It was actually a lot easier than it sounds. Looking for a basic code reader and battery life, monitoring and charge rate tester, I stumbled upon this gem. For such an affordable scanner, it is very well built and feels great in the hand, although it is quite heavy. The screen is very clear, making it very easy to read, with no glare or blurry text. I wear reading glasses and didn't need them to read the screen. Connecting to the vehicle is quick and going through the various menus and options is almost seamless, with no laggy screens or wait times. The battery tester feature is a bonus. It provides voltage, charge and battery life cycle instantly, always good to know what state your battery is in! Give this scanner a try and you won't be disappointed, it's the best bang for your buck. I'm a satisfied customer!
was able to use this scanner to easily and quickly diagnose that the check engine light was due to a faulty O2 sensor located downstream of the catalytic converter. After replacing the faulty sensor, I used this tool to clear the error code and turn off the check engine light as needed. I highly recommend it. There are more expensive scanners that can diagnose ABS system errors. This one cannot.

This OBDII scanner is excellent value for money and reliable. I bought an older one that wouldn't read a code that my mechanic was telling me was the problem. I bought this one to confirm what my mechanic was telling me, that my previous scanner wasn't picking it up. Sure enough, this scanner quickly provided the fault code. It has a nice color screen and is very easy to use.
It works very well, shows live data and is very useful for diagnostics.
This product is designed to be used by people who understand it and know how it works. I had never used one of these types of products before and had to turn to the internet to figure out the basics of how it worked. Once I downloaded the basics, I was able to use the product effectively and it proved to be quite helpful in figuring out what the problem was with my truck.
I'm not sure about the power, it says it runs on battery but there is absolutely no information in the booklet. Do I have to plug it into the car for power? Well when I plugged it into the port it turned on! Diagnostics and codes cleared, light went off, works fine!

I like the fact that it has a large color screen and a drop resistant housing. I also like the fact that it doesn't just read codes and clear them. There are multiple other tests that this unit can be used for. Oxygen sensors and batteries to name just a few. I find it easy to navigate and the operation is quick and smooth. If I had to recommend a reader to a friend or family member, this would be the one. There are other more expensive ones that do less.

This OBD11 scanner works very well. The screen is very bright and easy to read. The scanner is extremely easy to use. The buttons are rubberized and feel great to press. You can definitely tell that this scan tool is quality. The housing of the scanner is made out of a hard ABS type of plastic. It is sturdy and does not break easily. The cable of the scanner is almost 3 feet long. This is nice so that it can give you a bit of room to work when it is plugged into the OBD11 port. I used this to read codes on my Mercedes. It worked very well and allowed me to clear the codes with ease. There are a ton of functions and features on this scanner. It will allow you to do a ton of things when working on a ton of different makes and models of vehicles. I think that for the money, the scanner is a great value and I highly recommend it.

This paid for itself the first time I used it. The check engine light came on, but the car ran fine. The place where I got my oil changed used to do a free code reading. I found out that was just an employee thing. I went online and bought this reader. The code had a couple of possible meanings, but one was that the oil needed changing. I wasn't due for an oil change, but I did and changed it. The light went off. I think all the men on my Christmas list are getting one.

Normally I would try to troubleshoot the car but the codes told me it wasn't my responsibility. A quick test showed me it was nothing to worry about for now.
Great product, great design. This diagnostic tool is extremely easy to use, with clear instructions on the screen. The size is nice and not bulky, it fits easily in the palm of my hand.
The device is very easy to use. Just plug it in, turn the car on, and read. We were able to read the trouble codes and reset them. The only complaint I have is that the code text P0133 stands for "Oxygen Sensor Circuit Slow Response Bank 1, Sensor 2" but this device said Bank 1, Sensor 1. If you search for this code you will get mixed responses so it seems there is no fault with this device. I also used the real time monitor and it provides quite a bit of information for troubleshooting. For the most common use of reading codes and resetting them, this device does its job well.

I'm new to this sort of thing, so I can't give a proper review of how well it works. For my purposes, it seems to work fine. Every once in a while, my Accord's speed sensor gets a little wonky and turns on the check engine light. The first time, I had the mechanics look at it and they said it seemed like a minor issue and cleared the code. Now, when that happens, I can check to see if that's the code that's popping up and, if so, clear it.

This is a basic OBD2 diagnostic tool that performs most of the basic scan functions of an OBD2 scanner such as reading engine trouble codes and resetting basic engine codes. This tool will not reset body, transmission, airbag or traction control codes.
It just gave me a code. I had to look up what the code meant. It just gives me a starting point to figure out what the problem is.
This little beauty communicated with all of my vehicles. It's a good reader for the price, even compared to the more expensive Harbor Freight models. My Ford truck was "scrambling" which wouldn't allow it to restart and left me stranded. After reading the code and successfully clearing it, the truck started! Now I don't go anywhere without it.

It works pretty well considering the price. Overall, it does what it should. My only complaint is that the user interface is confusing. I keep expecting the middle button to be Enter, but unlike every other device I own, Enter on this tool is on the left. If you press the middle button, it brings you back to the smog test no matter what you're on. Maybe this is the primary function and is considered the most important, but in my opinion, this should not be the middle key. It's too easy to go down to live data or codes and accidentally hit the I/M key without thinking, causing you to have to go back through menus to get back to where you were. If I were redesigning the interface, I would set the middle button to be Enter and add an additional button outside of the button cluster for I/M. The other confusing factor is that to go left/right you use the up/down buttons. The cardinal direction buttons are meant to take you left/right or up/down. While in a vertical list, the right button would also function as a "back" button, as currently configured. Just my opinion on this. Otherwise, it does what it should and seems to work pretty well.

You get a lot for your money with this scanner. Sure, you get code reading capabilities, but there are a lot more features here. Some of the features included, in addition to reading and clearing codes, code library access, live data streaming on the device, vehicle information, data graphing, O2 sensor readings, EVAP data, etc. Some of these features seemed to be limited to whether the connected vehicle supports the request, but most seemed to be compatible with my vehicle. My breakdown, the PROS: 2 foot cable makes it easy to read while sitting, color screen, easy to understand menu, and packed with features! The CONS: It's not a touch screen, navigating with just the up and down arrows was annoying, there's no option to connect to a computer to download the data, there's no paper code book although the code is named on the screen, and of course, no ABS support. All in all this is a pretty impressive unit, of course there are other more expensive units available with more features but you get a lot for your money with this one.
Great machine! It is very well made and has features I was not expecting. Besides the multiple languages, there are a few features I don't have on my current reader that this one does. It offers real time voltage monitoring that will determine if your alternator is working properly. It also has a battery diagnostic mode so you know what the health of your battery is. It can also check your emission systems to see if they are working properly. I just gave away my old reader after I got this one. My other reader pulled the codes but that was it. This one is much better because of what it can do beyond reading/resetting trouble codes. I highly recommend this reader. You won't get a better one in this price range.
This product did exactly what I needed and for a very reasonable price. The body of the scanner is semi durable and the manufacturer included a simple drawstring bag to put it in. It was easy to connect and the screen was very readable. Some of the interface menu wording responses could definitely be polished, but I eventually figured it out. The instructions that come with it are more of a "quick reference" sheet rather than an actual user manual. I had to look up the full manual on the internet. Tip: Do your research and make sure this product does what you need it to do. While it is an easy and convenient way to read error codes and turn off the check engine light on your dash, it does not perform many of the more advanced diagnostic tests, especially those having to do with the ABS and SRS systems. So if you plan on doing more advanced troubleshooting which an auto mechanic can do, spend the extra money on a more comprehensive scanner.

The good thing about this scanner is that you just plug it in and it's ready to decode. The not so good part is the lack of instructions. This scanner reads a lot of stuff. You may sit there for a while pressing keys trying to learn what this device can do and trying to determine if the scanner is actually reading your vehicle. But it did eventually read and clear the codes like I wanted.

This is the perfect OBDII scanner! It is very easy to use and comes with a library of pre installed codes so you don't have to look them up online. This device can also test the battery without having to open the hood and connect wires to the terminals. I can also see that my O2 sensors are working properly and I no longer have any misfires.

This handheld scanner is pretty good for the price. Not only does it allow you to clear your check engine lights and get information about your CEL, but it will also allow you to monitor voltages and ratios of certain sensors, which is very helpful to see if certain things are working within factory specs. But it's easy enough to use for a regular citizen to have in the car and clear those pesky codes from the evaporative and O2 sensors that pop up from time to time. The scanner seems to be of decent quality and the screen is easy to read.

Great price, well built, and functionally effective. I used it on older Toyotas and BMWs with no issues. I scanned it, reported fault codes, and reset it once the issues were fixed. I had a problem downloading and unzipping the update software from the tech site so I would have the latest software pushed onto this device, but since my vehicles were older, it didn't seem to affect them.
Be careful not to erase your codes.
I bought this to replace an old cheap unit that died, this helped me see live data to confirm an O2 sensor wasn't reading at all and helped diagnose a friend's car's O2 sensor that was slow.
My old car developed a maintenance issue and the warning would pop up every time I started it. I read up on the problem and figured out what it was and how to fix it. I got the repair done, but I needed to clear the code. This device was recommended and I read enough to get it to work. It confirmed what the code was and what it meant. I was able to reset the code. End of problem. I know I could have gone to an auto parts store and used their device to clear it, but I have two old cars and suspect I'll see more warnings. So I decided to buy my own unit. The instructions are okay, but they're not clear enough. But through trial and error, I got it done.

It did a great job of displaying codes. Mine was a gas cap, luckily this saved a lot of time and money trying to figure out what caused the code. You can see the engine running in real time and see the spark from the air fuel mixture. Very useful and easy to use. I used it on three different cars. One car's engine check was an oil pressure monitor. Great tool!

I have several scanners, including an expensive deep dive model. This scanner provides a wealth of information immediately through a very simple interface. What I appreciate most is the simple interface combined with the fact that there is no delay in accessing it. Having all the PID information is an added bonus. It's hard to believe all these features are available for the price. Buy it.
I've always wanted to have my own device to read check engine codes and this one fits my needs perfectly. Although I don't currently have any codes, I tried it out and saw how comprehensive the diagnostics are. Since I'm not a mechanic, I don't understand what most of them are, but next time the check engine light comes on I'll be able to get the codes myself before going to the shop. I can always research the codes ahead of time, which will allow me to be better informed. Plus, it includes a battery diagnostic which is also helpful.

This is a pretty basic diagnostic scan tool, considering how complex today's vehicles are. It will only read engine related codes and provide real time information on things like alternator voltage, coolant temperature, engine speed, etc. It will not read codes related to the cabin, ABS, transmission, etc. You can clear the codes easily, and the display provides an informative overview of the code generated. The instructions state that it is for gasoline engines, but it had no problems reading codes specific to a diesel Mercedes glow plug failure, boost too low, etc.. Overall, a handy little tool to have in the car to give you peace of mind if your vehicle throws a code.
Microscope manual. I wish I could at least download and print it without creating a password or giving out my email address. The scanner seems to work fine. I'll have to get out my magnifying glass. YouTube videos are nice, especially if you need instructions on how to open a box. I received a detailed PDF manual right away from the seller. Very grateful.

It gives accurate codes for the check engine light and clears it, but if the problem is not resolved it comes back on. It gave the same codes as my mechanic. Unfortunately it was too expensive to fix the code issues and my trusted mechanic doesn't think it's worth the repair for my 100,000 km Hyundai that also burns oil. So I bought it to monitor for new codes as the check engine light will be on. I'm looking for YouTube videos to find out other features of this device.

It's easy to use and a very good instruction manual. It checked my codes to find a problem and cleared my check engine light. It also does a battery check which the cheap one from the Big Toolbox store doesn't do. I highly recommend this unit and it's a great price.
This diagnostic tool is easy to use and has saved me a lot of money instead of taking my vehicle to the mechanic for simple repairs most of the codes I've had, I've been able to watch on YouTube how to fix them at home.
It took me a minute to navigate the buttons, once in the correct mode the scan took 1 minute to show faults. It showed code and description. I thought I needed torque converter, it was shift solenoid and transmission control module. It saved me from getting repairs I didn't need. If you need transmission service on your car, use this first so you know what to do with your car. It comes with a USB cable Type C to download information to your computer. There are more expensive scanners out there, but this one is great for first time users and to have in your toolbox. Big thumbs up for this one, buy the damn thing if you have hidden issues.

This code reader is great. The functions are simple and easy to use and understand for those new to the game, but comprehensive enough to give accurate and detailed information about your car. The screen is large and clear with vivid colors, but it's not bulky. I've owned several OBD2 readers, but this one has been my favorite of the lot. There's a lot to impress about it and a lot of equipment for the price. I would definitely buy it again, but because of how rugged it is, I doubt I'll get the chance.

As a mechanic, I have used many scanners and this is definitely one of the best. It performs several useful tests and you can see the data in real time. You can even look up a code and it will define it for you. For the price, you can't go wrong.
I travel a lot off the grid and long distances. This OBD is the easiest to use I have seen. I especially like the battery feature. It is a great companion to keep in the vehicle in case of emergency. A great product.
I had an older code reader that worked fine but I wanted a better one and this was the one. I like that you can see the readings from all the monitors as well as the pending and stored codes. The battery test is the icing on the cake for this product.

I have owned other "cheap" scanners in the past…but I always wanted something that had live data capabilities. For the price, this was the one. Scotty was right…as always! My only complaint about this scanner is that the screen is smaller than I would like…but hey…it fits in smaller compartments in my car.
My scanner read all the codes needed to repair the car. So far, it seems very reliable as to what needs to be repaired. I would definitely recommend this device to see what your car needs to be repaired or if you just want to see the battery life.

The included paper manual was too brief and didn't say much. There's no easy way to tell if the device is fully charged or not. The OBDII readings are a bit cryptic, but after some research, I was actually able to clear the CEL code on my Alfa Romeo Tonale, so it was worth it.

It can't read ABS fault codes. I've had a lot of success with the standard Check Engine, but I needed to read an ABS problem and this just isn't as advanced as I was hoping for.
The tester worked very well for me. My car was idling rough and with this tester I was able to quickly pull a diagnostic code and find which cylinder was misfiring. It was then easy to troubleshoot the problem to determine that it was the spark plug. Once the repair was done I was able to clear the code and I'm up and running again. The tool is pretty intuitive. I like the "Bat" button which is an easy way to quickly get the battery voltage and test it while cranking rather than having to use a multimeter. The display is fairly large and bright, very easy to read. The customer service for the product was helpful as I sent an email request to the customer service team to ask for a digital version of the manual for archival reasons and they responded with a digital copy within 24 hours. Overall it's a great quick diagnostic tool especially for the price.

I have a different scanner, but it didn't do the live battery scan. This part is awesome. It allows me to check where the draw is on my truck. Turns out an issue with my compressor was drawing too much power, causing the truck to stall occasionally. Repaired under warranty and back on the road. I didn't have any pictures of when the compressor dropped the volts, but I checked again after it was fixed and from the photo you can see it's no longer an issue. It's a very useful tool. I'm happy with the purchase. Thanks!

This is a really good unit. It can test several things trouble codes, battery, sensors, etc.. It seems to be very fast. To read the codes, plug it into the OBD connector and then turn the key on. The engine must be off.

Since I am not a professional car mechanic, but I do enjoy working on cars, I found this OBD2 scanner to be an excellent tool for the mechanically inclined car owner. The build quality is impressive, and it is designed to fit comfortably in the hand, making it easy to navigate the menus. The rubberized outer layer adds a layer of protection in case it is accidentally dropped on a hard surface. The large, clear display is very easy to read. A standout feature is its ability to test battery life by measuring voltage drop when cranking the engine extremely useful even if you are not checking codes. While the scanner has a wide range of features, far beyond what I might need, it is nice to know they are there if I ever want to explore them!

This scanner and battery tester is great for checking and clearing check engine trouble codes. It is very easy to use without having to read instructions. I have an expensive odb2 scanner and would always have to go back to the manual to figure out how to use it. This scanner for the price is perfect for basic scanning but what I really like is the battery tester. Two of my four cars when not used for 5 days or so will drain the battery. This tool shows the voltage when the car is off and the real time voltage while the car is running. I like to leave a scan tool in each car and at this price I can do that.
It's nice to be able to check your car's systems without taking it to the dealer. This OBD2 scanner is well built and easy to use. It has a lot of functions. The screen is super clear and bright. I like that there is a shortcut to the battery functions and that the two function keys allow you to configure them through the settings menu. Frankly, for the price, there are no disappointments.
This OBDII reader works very well for reading codes. I used it to diagnose the check engine light CEL that was on. I was able to get the code and properly diagnose the problem. I also had no issues clearing the codes. The battery tester also seems to be accurate. The color screen is easy to read and the navigation buttons are well labeled.
The instructions have very small print. It is helpful to clear EVAP codes if you overfill the gas tank.
It diagnosed the engine code just as it said. It's a necessary tool and didn't cost me an arm and a leg.

The product worked pretty well for the price, it even has a report feature, though it's confusing. You have to visit the website to download the update driver to update the device, but you also use it to generate the report. It would be better if there was a separate app for the update download that would state its purpose.

This is my first OBD reader, I usually borrow one from friends, but when I saw the price and that it had a big color screen, I decided to buy one of my own. I was not disappointed, it is very easy to use. You plug it into your port and it basically tells you what to do. It also has a battery tester which is the same, you just plug it into your port and it checks everything related to your battery. I didn't even know you could do that with an OBD reader. This is a win in my book. Simple, easy and at a good price. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

This is my first time using the rig, so it was pretty easy to figure out which code I need to use more than once to explore the performance further.
This scanner works great and is worth what I paid for it. It is easy to connect, just plug it into the OBDII port and it will power up. There are a wide variety of options to choose from to diagnose trouble codes. The battery reader is also great as it gives you a graph of the voltage while the car is running.

I don't have any codes to read, battery life feature is good, color screen is sharp, easy to use so far… it doesn't read codes from your tires TPMS or ABS sensors, just so everyone knows as some people think QLL code readers read all codes and I wish this one did read ABS and TPMS… it works fine but I'll have to wait for a code to come up which I wish wasn't the case or I hope someone has one but that could be forever… it's not the fastest. I have no use for this for myself as I have a more advanced one
didn't know what to expect, but my car has very high mileage and I wanted to take a look at what mechanics see when they check my car. He didn't tell me much about my air conditioning, but he did say that everything else seemed fine. I guess if he had found something wrong, he would have given more details. Or he just didn't know what he was doing. But it gave me confidence. And I found the manual listed for additional information on its use.
This is an easy to use scanner. You just plug it into your car and it will tell you basic vehicle functions and code clearing. I am not a mechanic but I wanted something that would clear codes that I didn't have. I didn't have to use my phone to see what was wrong. It is worth the price and I highly recommend this product.

The product was easy to connect and was missing instructions but for the price it was a good deal.

can't remember if this is one of Scotty's recommendations or not. I got it to do some rudimentary checking of the check engine light on my Ford truck. It also clears exceptions if you want that's important to me. The user interface isn't intuitive at least for me. But it works with a little practice. Don't throw out the instruction book.

This little scanner is great for reading status and codes for both gasoline and diesel. There are WAY more options than these scanners used to include. I tried it on my "04 Ford 6.0" pickup and it gave me numbers for things I didn't even know about. It was great for my car as well, but it didn't pick up a single code that popped up for me and it may not even be a code per day, but more of a "watch out" but it won't tell you which TPM sensor has gone bad. For general daily use, it will be great for the average car owner.
It is useful for minor sensor issues, which is what you should expect. For larger issues, such as the computer or anti theft system, a more detailed unit may be needed. Easy to use.

It serves the purpose I bought it for information on the status of my vehicle. If you are not familiar with these devices, do not rely too much on the instruction booklet as it is a bit confusing due to poor English instructions.
ordered this scanner to verify that the check engine light was due to a small vacuum leak on my Nissan Armada. The system is very easy to use, you just plug it in and follow the prompts on the screen. I was able to navigate the menus easily and look up the codes and reset them. The screen is nice and bright with simple controls. The F1 and F2 buttons are set up to read codes F1 and clear codes F2, which for me are the two main reasons to have this device. A nice addition to the garage.

The product was well packaged and undamaged. It connected easily and the displays were responsive. The vehicle had two active warning lights, brakes and ABS. This code reader reported no faults. I took the vehicle in for service where their code reader immediately identified 3 active faults which pinpointed the problem. The seller contacted me immediately after my initial post, making it clear that this scanner does not do what I needed and promptly resolved the issue to my satisfaction. I am impressed with the seller's customer service.

Easy to use and simple to use, plug and play, follow the instructions the screen tells you. This thing did its job, told me exactly the root cause with the code so I could look up information and see the problem solved with a clear code, the truck was running perfectly again. Also read up to the time frame the fuel bank o2 sensor fails and much more, I highly recommend it, even if you can't fix the problem at least you know what you're dealing with if you have to take it to a mechanic.
used this to check the battery quality on my Honda Accord. After going through the menus, the device tells you how to check the battery… looks like I need to charge mine up a bit. The scanner also found a couple of diagnostic codes that didn't trigger the check engine light yet, but that's something I'll have to keep in mind. The codes come with a description of what they are, the device works faster than other scanners I've used, and the screen is large. Good value for the money.

It looks and feels like a much more expensive device. It has a good array of engine data and diagnostic features and is great for quickly checking if a check engine light is something serious or if you can wait a bit to take it in for service. I've used OEM level diagnostic tools in the past that cost thousands, and this one offers all the basic features you need at a fraction of the cost.
If I were a professional mechanic I would get a better one, but for me this one does everything I need and is easy to use. You can't beat the price. I am very happy with it.
I've used it a few times and it does a decent job. I'm no automotive technician, but I appreciate being able to pull information from my car from time to time. In particular, I was able to figure out that I had an intermittent transmission code that would have prevented me from passing the emissions test. I was able to reset it and passed. I'd say it paid for itself with that.

have an older car that I'm replacing soon and it has a faulty knock sensor located in a hard to replace location. I purchased the OBD2 scanner to clear the check engine code that often appears due to the sensor and is preventing my transmission from shifting into overdrive. This is a must have item for everyone! Car problems happen all the time and the check engine light comes on every time. Normally I would have to drive to my mechanic or an auto parts shop to get this reader to find out what happened but now I can just pull it out of my truck and find out that I have a problem with my emissions. Ok, I'm not a mechanic and it would take me forever to figure out all the functions of this device, but I do have codes on my old Suburban. I know what they are and I'm not going to fix them. This device detected all of them and as a test allowed me to reset my check engine light. It was intuitive to a point. The instructions are a little weak. It gave me a code and description that didn't tell me much so I looked up the code and description online. One user online said they had the same code and before taking it to the shop just check to make sure the gas cap is fully tightened. Lo and behold mine was loose. After tightening it the check engine light went off. If I had taken this to a shop they would have charged me more just to look at the car than the cost of this tool. Well, I finally got the urge to put it to use. I had a service reminder constantly nagging me on the car's dash display. I was able to clear the reminder. really liked the rugged look and feel of this unit. It is very easy to plug into the vehicle's onboard connection and very simple to scan through the various operating programs in the vehicle. It even checks the electrical output and battery condition. I was surprised that the scan indicated that my battery was nearing the end of its life. Fantastic looking OBDII scanner, very nice display. Pulled up the Toyota Matrix engine check code suite, including triggered exhaust codes. Didn't pull up any airbag codes… I never expected it to, and it doesn't say it would and I certainly don't fault it for not doing so, but I did try it on a Chevy that has an airbag issue and confirmed it doesn't work. This is an excellent value. I like that it uses a wired connection to the connector. I took it out of the box, plugged it into the port, and all the information was right at my fingertips. The display is bright and clear, well labeled, and well laid out. It intelligently indicates if a setting needs to have the engine running, the key should only be in the ON position but not in gear, etc. It even indicates things like monitoring one of the battery settings that the vehicle needs to run for a while to ensure a full charge. This unit is most appealing to me because I am an infrequent user. I wanted something in my toolbox so that if a vehicle throws a code or starts acting strange, I can just pull it out and plug it in. With other units, like those that use a smartphone, you inevitably have to update the software or remember a password, etc. This one is small and light enough to keep in a toolbox or otherwise handy and you just need to grab it and plug it into the OBD2 port.
So far I am impressed with this product. I have used others that cost many times more and so far this one seems to match them.
ordered this device to help me troubleshoot the constant issues I have with my car. I have a Hyundai Santa Fe and was able to research the code it was throwing. It turns out that a LOT of Hyundais have the same issue and it is part of the lawsuit related to their engines. Mine burns oil for no reason and has no leaks, but it sets off the "knock sensor" constantly. I was able to reset the code so I could get the vehicle out of "limp mode" and drive normally again. I guess I will now be involved in a lawsuit for this engine issue. I appreciate the device and it saved me a lot of time and money.

This OBD2 is very easy to use. My Expedition was idling a little rough so I ordered it to see if it would throw a trouble code. Sure enough the P1100 code popped up immediately with an intermittent mass airflow sensor. This means it needs to be cleaned or the air filter may be dirty. It literally takes 2 minutes to diagnose and a few minutes to remove, clean and replace the sensor. This reader saved me time and hassle resulting in a quick and inexpensive fix to the problem. I am very happy with it. Recommended.

I also liked the battery test feature on this device. The vehicle I connected it to did not display any codes so I have no information on how to set or clear a code but I don't expect any issues doing so. The only thing I would suggest would be a longer connection cable. This would be helpful but not a huge deal. Overall, it seems to be a pretty useful diagnostic tool.

This scanner worked well and was easy to use. I especially like the battery testing options. I have 2 vehicles with batteries that are nearing their usual lifespan, so it's nice to be able to keep track of when they'll need to be replaced. Having the built in code lookup is also very helpful.
So far I've only tried it on a Toyota. But it reads codes quickly, resets easily… basic and cheap… but works great if you don't need the numerous modules ABS, TPMS, etc. and just want basic factory OBD2 messages. I like to have a cheap code reader with me in the toolbox on trips, if the check engine light comes on, just to see how critical the item is and if I can keep driving if it's a small evaporative leak or catalytic converter efficiency etc. or if I have a real problem with the fuel delivery or ignition components. It works great for this.

I used this device to diagnose a check engine light I have on my Toyota Prius. It was easy to use. Just plug it into the OBD2 slot and press enter. 6 codes came up and I was able to clear them. I drove about 30 miles so far and the codes did not come back. Not a bad code reader to have in the toolbox.

usually have older vehicles and I got tired of driving to the auto parts store to get free codes read every time a vehicle threw a code so I thought I would check out how much I could afford to pay for my own code reader and this one was very reasonably priced and had all the features I needed to read and clear codes as well as check battery life. It has a large color screen and is easy to navigate with the cursor buttons. Overall I am very pleased and would recommend it.

This OBD2 scanner diagnostic tool arrived well packaged and in good condition. It is easy to use, as per the instructions and after watching some online videos. The interface is user friendly. I am glad I ordered it. Now, I can find out why the check engine light came on before taking the car to a mechanic and paying him to do the same. Again, with the help of the online videos, you can replace some minor things yourself. Overall, I am satisfied with this order.

The car would not shift out of first gear. It was coded as a faulty TSM transmission shift module. A diagnosis was performed and the code was cleared. It now shifts normally. It paid for itself with the first use! Totally impressed!

It's not very sophisticated, but it does exactly what it's supposed to do and does it well. I'm happy with my purchase because I was able to use it to help identify small problems with my cars.
I needed an ODB II reader urgently to diagnose a problem with my truck. I was able to get one quickly and it worked great. It gave me confidence to understand the problem and talk to the mechanic about fixing it unfortunately, it was beyond the "operator maintenance" level.

This has been a very useful diagnostic tool. It has a good design and size and fits perfectly in the glove box. I really like that it has real time battery consumption with a graph that accurately reads my regular voltmeter. My check engine code was easy to read and even easier to clear. I'm glad I got it. I bought a new battery. I started having problems with the new battery after a few days. I took the battery back to get a replacement. The company said no because it was in good condition they didn't test it. I took the employee to my vehicle reinstalled the new battery and showed him with this battery reader that the new battery had a low voltage. I got my replacement and even tested the new battery to make sure the company wasn't trying to give me another low voltage battery.

I've always gone to my uncle to get the codes read as we're a couple who drive until the wheels fall off and are from a family of the same. It's nice to finally be able to put it in our own garage so we have an idea of what problem we might be facing and can Google Car Doctor some potential results if problems arise. We haven't had any major problems that we didn't know what to try thank goodness! but it did show the same codes we already knew a vehicle should show so we're happy with the accuracy when the occasion arises. Good value for money so far!
It worked well to clear the check engine light/code. However, the instructions that came with the product were of no use. I found a YouTube video that explained how to use all the features.
Works like a charm! I bought this to use on my vehicles and it also has a battery tester. I was able to test my battery and also run it for any codes. I am going to buy another one for my dad. I highly recommend this if you need to scan for any engine codes or just to test a battery.
Surprisingly easy to use. Large, clear display. Worked on all 6 cars I have access to. My old ODB reader didn't work on Mini Coopers. This one did. Showed all the expected errors I knew from other readers. Even showed me info on my batteries that I would normally need to get from my advanced battery charger. None of the hassle of the smartphone app models. No need to turn on Bluetooth, pair it, pay for an app, go through a bunch of menus, or any of that mess. Does everything I need it to do. This will be my go to ODB reader from now on.

I bought this reader to see if I had any trouble codes. I found one and was able to fix it. I was then able to clear the code easily. It is very easy to use. I really like the battery monitor. I can see if my battery is in good condition. PS: I had it in my truck and was able to use it on a Mercedes Benz that was stopped on the road.

Use this to reset the check engine light and view basic information. I have seen people use this to pass smog tests on older vehicles that don't really give much information on the smog test, so as long as the check engine light isn't on you will pass the test.

Works great for reading codes, I ended up buying an Autell Maxicom, I needed to do some more in depth work.
